weiser7
Hi. Spec of my M4800 i7-4610M HD4600 + Quadro K2100M (eDP!!!!!) and etc.. oh, bios is A16. I could install el capitan with your guide (without dsdt). I used nv_disable=1 flag.. as you know qe/ci of k2100m + edp combination doesn't work. So I patched config ang kext for hd4600 and it worked... just for one time. After restart (or shutdown), bios turns off 'Enable Switchable Graphics' option automatically, so hd 4600 goes away & only k2100m lefts (and not working).. I'd like to know how to fix this.

Administrators Bronxteck Posted October 17, 2016 Administrators Share Posted October 17, 2016 you probably need to use RTC fix in clover if that is what your using. or fix rtc acpi patch

Timp74
This sounds like the same problem I had with an M6700 with NVidia graphics. Basically the CMOS seemed to get corrupt on sleep with the NVidia card installed(and optimus disable in the BIOS?! I think). None of the AppleRTC patches or DSDT changes I tried helped. I ended up swapping the card for the AMD option. Apart from the initial hassle with connector personalities it's all good. Been working great for the last couple of years. I tried to document some of the problems here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/286953-dell-precision-m6700-osx-installation/ Would be great to have a solution to this problem.
