lightro
Hello everybody, I have a problem regarding the installation of ox Sierra on the E6420. I've done everything according to instructions like this: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/8506-dell-latitude-inspiron-precision-clover-guide/ I also downloaded the EFI to the Clover and the Kext for OSX Sierra for E6420. The bios settings are correct, but it will hang when you load the installation. I have times a picture attached to the log, perhaps you know what I can still make. Administrators Hervé Posted January 25, 2017 Administrators Share Posted January 25, 2017 You obviously have the nVidia model. It would appear you used the pack for HD3000 model only. Use the El Capitan E6420 NVS pack.

LightRO1
I have now taken the driver from the Sierra E6420 and the Vodo and HDTA driver from El Capitan NVS. However, this did not bring the desired effect. Can you give me the links, what I need for them, and what about them and where to go?
Moderators Jake Lo Posted January 25, 2017 Moderators Share Posted January 25, 2017 Here, just replace the VoodooPS2Controller with VoodooPS2Controller_R6B6 in /EFI/Clover/Kexts/Other AppleHDAIDT to /EFI/Clover/Kexts/Other/LE

Administrators Hervé Posted January 26, 2017 Administrators Share Posted January 26, 2017 Install the dummy kext for IDT 92HD90 codec in /L/E, repair permissions and rebuild your cache. It's available off most E6x20/E5x20 guides. Then edit your Clover config.plist to add the IDT 92HD90 on-the-fly binary patches for AppleHDA. Details of the patch are available in all Clover-based guides for E6x20/E5x20 guides.
