mademax
I have decided to return back to windows since my experience with Sierra has been somewhat mixed and unstable. I have formatted my hdd with gparted However, I keep getting the following error: Stop code: ntfs file system. Can anyone please help with this? Administrators Bronxteck Posted March 6, 2017 Administrators Share Posted March 6, 2017 try doing a low level wipe on the drive first that should destroy all data left over on it. including MBR Or Guid Partition Info.

Administrators Bronxteck Posted March 6, 2017 Administrators Share Posted March 6, 2017 you can try from disc utility from your mac installer. if you still have it as for Gparted i am not sure if Gparted can do a security wipe.

Administrators Hervé Posted March 6, 2017 Administrators Share Posted March 6, 2017 Won't any Windows installer allow to wipe off any disk partition and start afresh?
mademax
I get the error while trying to boot from the installation usb, thus I cannot access the installation menu. I was able to do a low level wipe from a terminal in gparted, which took a whole night. However, the error still keeps showing up. Could this be because of a corrupted installation usb? Administrators Hervé Posted March 7, 2017 Administrators Share Posted March 7, 2017 Indeed, that sounds like the issue is your Windows USB media, not the HDD.
