  1. Tungmeister, Would you tell us what USB-HID device your touchscreen is, and how you got it working?
  2. There's a new BIOS for our Latitude E6230s, version A20. Has anyone tried it? Is it safe? https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/product/latitude-e6230/drivers
  3. Interesante, seems there are many ways to skin the cat Your eth kext is Mausi, mine is E1000 Your sound kext is ALC, mine is IDT92HD93... from the AppleALC.kext instructions, you didn't need to patch the Vanilla kext... is this true? I use only the AppleHDA kext patch in Clover... don't use the others yet My E6230 definitely needs "FixHeaders", I don't know why I use the VoodooPS2-HS.kext ver 6.0.0... does ApplePS2SmartTouchpad.kext it do more gestures than scroll? What BIOS version do you have? Thanks for sharing!
  4. Herve, Thank you for posting your latest EFI folder... although I can't make it past the kernel load (the "+++++++"). I started with another fresh install of macOS High Sierra... still can't load the kernel. I upgraded my BIOS from A07 to A11 but still no success with your EFI folder. I had to revert to my own EFI folder and make the config.plist as close to yours as possible. I have used your all your provided kexts, your DSDT.aml. Now everything works, even sleep and wake up with the webcam present I have attached it below for anyone who wants to see. The variations of my EFI folder relative to yours: I truly need the "FixHeaders" to avoid a kernel panic 5 seconds into the kernel boot. The AppleHDA_IDT92HD93 didn't load from the Clover Kexts folder... I had to move it to /Library/Extensions/ I didn't need the IOGraphicsFamily kext patch and everything seems OK. How do I test whether I need it? I didn't generate my SSDT nor used yours... yet. I didn't apply any "pmset" command... yet. I have a lot of Themes ... explanation of the 36MB EFI I used my own VoodooPS2-HS.kext (version 6.0.0). Yours (version 4.0.0) didn't let me load the Trackpad prefpane and the tilde key inserts a "plusminus". Thank you again for your help... tomorrow I will do the last 2 steps. P.D. Has your AppleHDA_IDT...kext changed? I didn't need the EAPDFix kext anymore EFI_E6230_rwar.zip
  5. Sorry, I didn't press the "Attach this file" button that last time. Here's my EFI folder. The EAPDFix.kext in my /Library/Extensions folder worked for me My webcam PID=648b VID=0c45 EFI copy.zip
  6. Thanks for the suggestions. I already reinstalled FakePCIID and FakePCIID_XHCIMux, but the webcam still disappears on sleep. Do I need the patched AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext? I only see the patched 10.12.6 version and I would like to install a 10.13.1 kext. (here: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/9320-vanilla-and-patched-sierra-kernels-patched-aicpupm-kexts/) I will test EAPDFix or CodecCommander when I get back home (don't have earphones here) I have attached my EFI folder (Clover config.plist, DSDT, SSDT, and injected kexts inside) My Library/Extensions includes: FakePCIID.kext FakePCIID_XHCIMux.kext FixEAPD.kext AppleHDA_IDT92HD93.kext DisableTurboBoostBattery.kext USBInjectAll.kext ACPIBatteryManager.kext IntelMausiEthernet.kext Hmmm... I see I have DisableTurboBoostBattery, which is part from another guide.... I will take it out. Same with the MausiEthernet
  7. Try changing the CSRActiveConfig=0x67 (disable SIP)... I changed it to 0x03 under another HS guide, but I got the same boot error as you.
  8. Hello all , I followed this enoch version of the E6230 guide for Sierra installation... https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/8883-dell-latitude-e6230-with-i5-3340m-hd4000-and-1366x768-lcd-mavericksyosemiteel-capitansierra/ I skipped using the FakePCIID_XHCIMux (no USB 3.0 devices to test with), the CapriFB (I get mirrored desktop over HDMI, going to test the rest later), but the 3 things that bug me are: Laptop boots up and goes immediately to sleep (spending 1 minute to do so). I can wake it up fine and use it. It can be avoided sometimes by moving the trackpad before entering the video graphics mode. Upon wake, the webcam doesn't work EAPDFix.kext+CodecCommander.kext doesn't solve the headphone issue (no sound on headphone) I skipped using the patched AppleHDA.kext, but I used Clover on-the-fly binary patching (supposedly will support the next version of AppleHDA when it comes). I used AppleHDA_IDT92HD93.kext as per the instructions. I also used the FixHeaders option in Clover to avoid the initial kernel panic Does anyone have the E6230 working 100% with High Sierra?
