  1. @stolidedog Use the yeahoonmerge posted above, it is the most recent one. To install use the link in the first post to the githib install instructions. I know its confusing, I'm gonna see if bpedman will add our kext to the first post.

@adrien240 no need for dsdt work. Maybe PM @yeahoon as he better understands how to add device support, I tried and failed :P, oh and speaking of which...

@yeahoon, I looked into the code from which we started with (bpedmanmerge) and it seems that on some models (a select few) my miltitouch fix is not needed as the system auto fires off the shortcut... no clue why.

  2. @bisk great yo hear! I have the E6420 with Intel. Have you tried disabling quadramos (deffinitly spelled wrong) in bios? Some people said that worked with the nero bootpack in the e6429 research.

@bzimage I have had a problem simillar to that... I had to completly reinstall. All kexts I tried to install caused panic. Something to do with a memory cache... never figured it out.

  3. My E6420 boots by installing Clover to the EFI partition and select install for UEFI motherboards, and the necessary drivers for your machine. The go to the EFI partition and put all E/E kexts into the EFI/drivers/10.9/ folder. Also put in FakeSMC, and other necesary hackintosh kexts. Then move the file BOOTX64.efi to the root of the EFI partition. Reboot and select EFI in BIOS, then select BOOTX64.efi as the boot file. Congrats!

  4. All,

I have a release of @yeahoon and my merge! I integrated the code you sent over, it still has the reverse side scrolling, but heres a list of working on E6420:

    Working

    Two finger scrolling

    Right side scrolling

    Sensitivity (in Voodoo PrefPane)

    Track stick

Track stick Scrolling (holding middle button)

    Partial

    Side scrolling (reversed)

Multitouch (3 finger in all directions on my model, not native trackpad PrefPane or Voodoo, its complicated... read below)

    Not Working

    4 Finger gestures

    Native System Recognition

5 Finger Pinch (May be done sooner that 4 finger... the system just sees 4 as one large finger.)

To see if multitouch works on your model turn volume all the way up, go to launchpad, put three fingers down, FLAT!!! not just touching with three, full finger down, and swipe in any direction, if your system beeps/moves from one icon to another, it works!!! then you must go to system preferences ==> keyboard ==> shortcut ==> mission control ==> and select the different actions, and when you have to enter the shortcut, just do the gesture!

    @bmp152 and @bisk. This one WILL Work. (;

Please let me know how it works.

Ask questions here on the forum and report bugs, you can always PM me or @yeahoon with ideas as well.

  5. @hol64, look at the first page under install instructions, but I would recommend if you have an older trackpad using my Alps Multitouch and its instructions one page back or so, if you have a newer alps they use @yeahoon's kext.

Also @yeahoon as we discussed earlier, commit on github when you are ready, then I will follow suit.

  6. Doesn't 10.8.5 and above support Haswell? I thought it did, it may be (like in my case with a different optiplex) that I had a PCI video card that was unsupported by osx and even after disabling in in bios it still had the issue, the only fix was to replace it. Are you using PCI video?

  7. All we have left is the Finger Print Reader, then we are 100% supported!!!! (Protector Suite won't install, and Truesuite doesn't recognize it, it is recognized on the PCI root using system info though... No clue.)

    Anyone have any ideas?
