  1. Hi Jake Lo, I managed to install Catalina Beta 9 on my Dell Latitude E6440. Thank you very much.
  2. Verbose Booting stopped with ACPI Error AppleUSBXHCI::start: hardware exception occured and several others, pls see picture.
  3. Hello Jake Lo, at least I can confirm all BIOS settings according your recommendation above. I am going to try out your recommendations concerning CLOVER as mentioned above and I will post the result as soon as available. Question: Is it intended to NOT install SMCHelper in UEFI Drivers\Recommended drivers? Thank you for your help. Heinz
  4. Hello, Jake Lo, I am a little bit frustrated, because each and every advice or hint does not lead to a successful boot of Catatlina Beta 9 on my Latitude E6440 (German Keyboard). The verbose installation process gets stuck all the time. I have got a USB Stick that is able to boot and install Mojave, so after several days of experimenting with different kexts, combination of kexts etc, I am still unable to install Catalina Beta 9. Even with the same Clover config and kexts, I am not able to start into the installation process.
  5. Hi Jake Lo, I tried your bootpack, but it doesn't work for me. I am now going to install Mojave and then upgrade to Catalina.... Perhaps that'll work...
  6. I am going to create a new USB Stick because I discovered that I was running an older Clover. Keep thumbs pressed.
  7. Thank you Jake Lo, I've done that, no success so far.
  8. I got this message on the display (twice in succession): ApplePS2Controller: Timed out on mouse input stream Then the computer hangs at ALPS: Found a V3 Rushmore TouchPad with ID: E7=0x73 0x03 0x0a, EC=0x88 0x08 0x22 ALPS: Trackstick detected ALPS: TouchPad driver started
  9. @NaviD: I tried it with USB on the left AND without VoodooPS2Controller and plugins - no success. Machine hangs now at/after apfs_module_start: 1683...... @Jake Lo: yep, seems to show the same error... I am going to give "VoodooPS2Controller-R6Bronxteck.kext" a try, that worked good with Mojave. Result: Unfortunately no success.
  10. Hm, lets see - I have got macos Catalina beta-9 on a 16 GB USB Stick Clover_v2.5k_r5070 a Dell latitude E6440 notebook (GERMAN Keyboard) CPU i5 4300m 8 GB of RAM 320 GB HDD (will be replaced with SSD later) Intel HD 4600 BCM94352HMB WiFi BT Card (working with Mojave due to kext) I created the Catalina Boot USB Stick then installed Clover onto it I mounted the USB Stick EFI Partition I deleted the original CLOVER directory I copied YOUR CLOVER directory onto the USB Stick EFI Partition First Boot: no success Second Boot with deleted GenericUSBXHCI.kext (your advice) - no success Third boot with external usb keyboard and usb mouse AND (as you wrote above) disabled (ALL THREE checkmarks) VoodooPS2ControllerRB6 VoodooPS2Keyboard.kext VoodooPS2Trackpad.kext No success. So, please tell me: what is your secret recipe to get Catalina to work? BTW: Thank you for your support.
  11. Hi @NaviD, Your Catalina guide looks good, but does not work for my E6440. It got stuck during booting when it comes to Touchpad ALPS...
  12. Hi Hervé, any idea where to get that VoodooPS2Controller kext r6? I crawled a lot, but cannot find a download location esp. for r6 Any hint is appreciated. Bye, Heinz
  13. Hi HERVÉ, thank you very much, I am going to try that specific kext and post the result here. Bye, h123
  14. Hi Jake Lo, yes, I set it to ANSI but all combinations with Fn or AltGr do not work. Besides that, it is quite good
  15. Hello everyone, unfortunately, on my Latitude E6440 the Alt-Gr Key is not working, so that I can't get a pipe-char | or backslash for example. The Fn-Key isn't working either. Are there others e6440 owners out there, having (had) the same problem? Or someone, who solved that issue? Looking forward to reading from you. All the best, h123
  16. Hello, no I didn‘t. What does Apple System Report say about USB? And btw, what wifi card is in your Computer and does it work?
  17. Hi everybody, this is what works so far: Booting into 10.14.6. after OTA Update from 10.14.5 Sound works, Volume buttons as well WiFi with Edimax USB Device and additional driver Bluetooth HDMI Screen brightness via additional software tool "Brightness" which is able to store two hotkeys for brighter/ darker Sleep via FN + F2 yes, wake up - no USB 1 on the left side, 2 on the right side (the port near the hinge seems to be able to do USB 3) yep, that's it for today. Thanks to all of you who contributed to this success.
  18. Hello magnitu and Jake Lo, according to this (your) guide and files, I managed to get my E6440 4300M Intel 4600 GFX to run Mojave 10.14.5 But what has to happen next, after I got the Notebook started and after 1st Setup-Procedure? 1. copy the kexts in Clover/kexts/Other/CopyToLE to /L/E, especially CodecCommander.kext Repair permissions and rebuild cache 2. what next? 3. My Notebook uses the Intel 6235 ANHMW WiFi /BT Card. Unfortunately the card was not recognised. Do you have any idea, what to do? I am going to try other cards, such as Intel 5100 I hope you still receive notifications from this forum. I am looking forward to receiving your hints. All the best, Heinz
