  1. Hey EMlyDinesh, I just wanted to report a few minor issues. If I happen to be accidentally moving my cursor when I start typing (A high possiblity because my palm touches it a lot), the cursor will start moving across the screen by itself until I stop it. Also, in order for palm detection to work I have to type a lot of letters before it understands that I'm typing. So say if I only need to type 3 or 4 letters, palm detection usually won't turn on. But if I'm typing say, at least 7 or 8 letters, it will turn on palm detection just fine. Also is there an option to just automatically disable the touchpad while typing? Other than that, I'm really loving this new version, it works great. Your work is appreciated as always.
  2. Idk about your freezing problem, but a prefpane is in development. He's trying to squash bugs right now which takes priority over the prefpane.
  3. You can change the scroll speed of without lifting fingers from Trackpad preferences and can set the inertial scroll level in plist. (I will make a prefpane soon which is getting delayed because lack of time due to my busy life, so i need some support from everyone in donation for trying to get more time on my projects). And the thumb thing is still in work and I'm unable to finish that because lack of beta testers who provide good feedback. If you think can help me with this then PM me for debug session. I played around with inertial scroll but for whatever reason I didn't think to use the trackpad preferences. I'm assuming you mean the prefpane attached in the op and not the native prefpane? I sent you a pm about debugging.
  4. Alright well I decided to skip that part about disabling nodes since I didn't think was strictly necessary and I couldn't figure it out... i did the dsdt patch, patching the binary for adi 1984, changed Platforms.xml to my pin layout and used the example layout28.xml, edited AppleHDAHardwareConfigDriver/Contents/info.plist (there was no item 0, so I used item 1, which was missing the configdata part, so I added my config data to it)... The inputs and outputs show in system profiler but nothing shows in system preferences and I have no sound. I don't know what I did wrong. here is my layout28.xml, platforms.xml, applehda.kext, and codec dump... I also attached some notes I made as I was going through the process. I'm using a asus vivobook x202e with alc269vb on 10.9.3. Thank you. layout28.xml Platforms.xml AppleHDA.kext.zip codec_dump.txt Vivobook AppleHDA stuff.rtf
  5. Hi, I'm stuck at the disabled nodes part of the guide... I can't add the verb data to mine because 1a, 1b, 1c, etc are already being used. What do I do? Can I start back at 20 for those? Or do I just leave them out? I also attached my full codec dump. codec_dump.txt
  6. I got everything working. I don't know what I changed before that was making it kernel panic. It's been a while since I updated this driver, so I moved straight from 2.x something to 3.8... All I can say is wow. @EMlyDinEsH you really outdid yourself here. My touchpad feels like a real mac. Just a couple of things... Inertia scrolling works great, but scrolling without lifting my fingers is pretty slow. Is there a way to change the curve or something so that it's just a little faster when I'm not inertia scrolling? Also, I'm wondering if it's possible to use it with my thumb on the bottom of the touchpad. This is how I use my macbook most of the time. Currently with the elan touchpad it just sees it as another finger so it thinks that I want to scroll. Perhaps there could be either a thumb detection setting or just an option to block a specified area at the bottom of the touchpad from receiving input. Thank you, this is truly incredible how much your driver has improved the usability of my notebook.
  7. I got a kernel panic on the latest version after changing the settings in the info.plists. obviously this is operator error rather than a problem with the kext, so I just wanted to know a couple of things. First, I didn't set permissions because I thought I didn't need to when injecting it with Clover. Was I supposed to do that? Second, in the keyboard kext I enabled the right alt and right context menu key buttons. I'm just supposed to put the number of the key as listed in the guide in the key for those options right? Edit: I don't know why I thought it was a permissions problem, it's a fat32 volume... So I guess it's a problem in my info.plists
  8. In having the same problem with my x202e. I'm fine with tapping but only tapping enabled requires me to use draglock instead of just holding and dragging which I don't really care for. Either way this driver is excellent, the latest update makes 3 and 4 dinner gestures much better. One question though, what is triggering expose? I keep triggering it on accident when trying to access mission control even though both 3 finger swipe up and down are both set to mission control. I don't know what I need to disable. I also can't figure out how to disable the one finger swipe from left but still keep swipe from right. Thank you Also, I'm willing to beta test for v2.
