I have the Broadcom card in my E6410. I was able to get the Lan working by installing the 10.8 kext.

Kernel Panic. If you are not getting the Boot GUI from the USB Stick, you have corrupted your installer.

Does anyone have the Wifi and Ethernet drivers? I tried using the Extra folder from https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/3112-e6410-mavericks-guide/ but it isn't working for me.

Try booting from the USB stick and selecting the new install. If you get a KP, use the -x.
-
Yep I guess that was it. I found another patch and now running in the installer. Thanks for the help.

Ok so I think the problem was that even though I over-wrote the files in the Extra folder with the ones in the link it still didn't overwrite them. I then moved the Extras folder over and was able to get it boot into the installer but I can only the right half of the screen on the left side. Is there something to fix this?
-
Yep. I went in to double check it but then thought it had to be on since I have snow leopard running.

Hi Everyone, I ran the myHack application to get the image installed, then when it asked me for the extras I used the one provided on page one of this help. When I try to run the installer, I get the error message, Couldn't alloc class "AppleACPIPlatformExpert" panic (Cpu0 caller 0x672901) Unable to find driver for this platform \"ACPI".\....IoplatformExpert.cpp https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?app=core&module=attach§ion=attach&attach_id=327 I have a D630 with the Intel chipset. Thanks for the continued support.

Thanks that fixed the booting problem. Now my machine is really slow. Should I try running the fix from EDP 1.8? Edit: Now my Wifi, USB and DVD are not working (on top of the system being slow).

Well I tried it again by keeping the finder and Kext Wizard open prior to running the update 10.6.0 --> 10.6.8. Deleted the existing kexts by dragging them to the trash, then installing the older kexts and finally repairing all of the Extras and S/L/E. Now I am getting an panic(cpu 0 caller 0x2acc8a): "Version mis-match between Kernel (23) and CPU PM (21) "@/CourceCache/xnu/xnu-1504.15.3/osdmk/i386 Chameleon is version 2.0-RC5 r747 which is the one that was on EDP 1.8. I appreciate the help. I tried to patch and then double click on my drive and couldn't to delete the existing kexts. When I tried to run the KextWizard with the kexts, it kept on crashing. I think it may be best to just stay at 10.6.7 for now? I've just installed the O/S at least 10 times

Hi Simon, Same error after trying the updated DSDT. I tried to also copy it into the root and /Extras but still got the same error. Nick

I found it from one of the topics on this forum. Maybe that was the problem because my screen is 1440x900. Nick

Ok will give it a try. I have one question though, the DSDT.aml you mention should be in the /Extra folder. I have one in the root directory of my hdd that was used to get me too boot into the O/S because the screen would turn black when booting. Placing the file in root helped with that issue so do I need to do anything with this file? Nick

I have the Intel graphics chipset running an Intel C2D T7400. Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks for the help.

well my update to 10.6.8 didn't go so well. I patched to 10.6.8 and then re-applied the EDP 1.8 with the D630, when I rebooted I am now getting a kernel panic on boot Unable to find driver for this platform" "ACPI\".\n"@SourceCache/xnu/xnu-1504.15.3/iokit/Kernel. I was reading a post, do I need to remove sleepenabler.ket and nullcpumanagement from the Extras folder before patching? Thanks

Hi Everyone, The site has been awesome in helping me finally get Snow Leopard installed. I am currently on 10.6.6 and have working Ethernet and Wifi. Going under my device settings I only see for ethernet cards the /Extras/Extensions/AppleBCM5751Ethernet.kext but don't see anything for the Wifi. Is this all I need to backup before updating to 10.6.8 and then re-applying this or is there something else? I have a D630.
