Thanks that looks good now. I can post an updated zip for your wiki. I do have an issue with the sound though. I can't seem to get it working. When I copied the AppleHD_ALC255.kext to /L/E and ran the chmod/chown etc, I got the same video error. I did remove them and was able to get into the O/S again using terminal in the installer.

Thanks for the follow-up. Do I have to rebuild the system again? I tried -x and -s and the issue is still happening. Also with the layout-id, would that be in the config.plist that is up on the guide provided by Jake? I didn't make any other changes, just pulled those files and applied them as the EFI. I can probably just grab those two and merge them...let me do that now. Nick

Hi All, So I installed Sierra, then replaced the EFI with partition first with the EFI_4200.zip and then with the 3542.zip file. When I start the laptop now I am getting this video issue. https://i.imgur.com/vLIiilw.jpg Processor is i3-4030u Memory 8gb Video Intel 4400 no add on video card Any help would be appreciated. Hi All, I followed Jake's guide on setting up Sierra but when I go into the latest Clover boot manager nothing is showing up. Not even my El Capitan boot drive is showing up. I checked the UEFI is the only option enabled as well as AHCI. Has anyone seen this before? Thanks, Nick Edit: If I use the bootloader from my El Capitan drive is shows my "Install macOS Sierra" option.

I updated to 10.10.5 and now I somehow lost graphics acceleration. I tried to copy the FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics,kext and FakePCIID.kext and it didn't help. Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Thanks Hervé, Yep the DVD player shows all of the features as supported. I also did as you suggested and removed all of the plists and that fixed the App store issue. Thanks again. Nick

I was able to get this going by enabling the load video BIOS as well as Injecting the EDID. One last issue I am seeing is that the finder menu has some issue with the font. It almost seems hollow. Also the Apple in the upper left corner is red, sometimes light black. On the right side of the finder menu is ok. No issues with date/time etc. Video plays ok with sound on Youtube and the rest of the display is great. Any idea of what that may be? Also with regards to the app store, can someone help me out on downloading El Capitan? It says something about not being able to verify my Mac. Thanks

Thanks for the help Jake. I was still having issues with that and ended up using clover configurator to save everything. I'm still running into issues with my video. I have an i3-4010U which has the Intel HD4400. When I go into about under graphics is shows Intel HD Graphics 4400 4MB but most windows are not displaying correctly. I copied the FakePCIID.kext and FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics kexts in using both Kext Wizards and copying them into the /EFI/EFI/CLOVER/kexts partition as well as entering the "Inject Intel" with the ig-platform-id of 0x0a260006 using Clover Configurator but that doesn't seem to work. Is there anything else I need to do? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi All, I'm trying to install Yosemite on my 3542 (Intel video) and I am running into an issue with the clover install. I installed the UEFI bios option. I was told by the documentation on another site to copy the config.plist which has the options nv_disable=1 dart=0 Intel=true as well as the binaries Kernel PM patch. But after I get the Clover bootloader and try to select the drive it sits at the root device id is screen. I then tried to copy the config.plist off of the USB drive but the same thing happens. Thanks Patel. Yeah I had a look back in the thread and found that I need to get the 1510 instead. I ordered one off of Ebay for $7. Not too bad. I have an external USB one that will work for now until I get the internal one. The 10.9.2 update was the easiest update I ever had to do. Like when I installed it I had to remove the AppleHDA.kext in system/library/extensions and run the full repair to get it working. Thanks again for all of the work you put into the doc and to the community. There would be no way I would have been able to get this to work without everyone's help!

Thanks. One thing you might want to add to your wiki in the post installation is in step 6 where is says to run the post installation script. MyHack names the USB drive as myHack OS X 10.9 Install Disk. You have to rename the USB as myHack OS X Install Disk for it to work properly. Also I have the Dell Wifi. Is there another driver to get that working?

Ok after going through the guide I found my problem. It was the option in the BIOS uncheck "Enable VT for Direct I/O". I must have missed that the first few times. Once I unchecked that I was able to get the installer going with no problem. Thanks Patel and Darvinko for your help.

Darvinko, Thanks I was running MyHack from the desktop. I will try it form the Apps and see if it works. I never thought that could be an issue.

Ok I rebuilt the installer again and this time I see the following error (using -f -v) Kext org.voodoo.driver.PS2Keyboard start failed (result 0xdc00400a) Kext org.voodoo.driver.PS2Keybaord failed to load (0xdc008017) Then there is a backtrace with voodoo.driver.PS2Trackpad I have an Nvida card and a OCZ Solid 3 SSD Any help would be appreciated.

Tried that as well and same issue.

I followed Patel's guide and haven't been able to get past the boot screen unless I run -x, problem is that MyHack won't run in safe mode. When booting from the USB I am stuck at waitForSystemMapper I also have an Nvidia card. Any help would be appreciated
