So far, this is the issues that i have found:
1. Classic irq usb issue
2. CPU is identified as 1,8ghz - where is it should be a 2ghz
3. Memory is identified as 604mhz, where it should be 800mhz
4. I see alot of these errors in console "dyld: shared cached file was build against a different libSystem.dylib, ignoring cache"

Goto the Wiki.. its all there

Hey Robert,
It very much depends on your specs.
Reading your specs here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dell_Latitude
i would say.. give it a go
.. and if it works.. let us know so that we can get the EDP optimized for your machine also...
-
My advice, forget about it..
Get this instead..
http://www.osxlatitude.com/groups/d4xosx/wiki/e89c8/WWAN_in_OSX_on_Dell_Latitude_D420D430.html
I have used more time that most would to test diffrent cards.. this works out of the box...

Daniel,
Tested your voodoops2 on a D430, it works, but its hyper-sensetive, same on a D820.. (that or, i'm pressing to hard on the touchpad)
As for the pref. pane, then it throws an error when i try to access it...
-
Use the other method on the site...
-
Its worth to notice, that the edptool contains a fix menu, with the option to fix the hibernation issue .. its also part of the sleep guide on the site..

Hi,
I'm sorry, but is a bit hard to support when you are running iFail, since our EDP package is build for a vanillia setup.
iFail, might contain changes to the system that is imposebil for us to predict.
That said, i had a D520, and while we do include a network kext for that model, its not stable at all.. my solution was also a usb adapter.
-
nope.. but then again.. i dont have anything to test on...
-
hmm.. never even heard about it before.. got a url ? .. hav you googled/binged/whatever to see if others have the same problem ?
-
ahh.. you it is actually you who is the genius behind this one also..
We have been talking about integrating it into to the EDP, so that the bootloader was optimized for the specific model also...

I'm on a D620, with Intel graphics, and I've been looking around for the EDP 1.5 RC to download. Can anyone help me? I was able to get everything up and running on the base 10.6.0, but when I upgraded to 10.6.6, the only thing I seemed to lose was my accelerated graphics (didn't try sleep etc..). If 1.5 fixes this, I'll be very happy.
I'll only be truly happy though, once I get rid of this Intel wireless card.
Thanks in advance.
