hey guys a friend of mine gave me a dell optiplex 760, i have 10.6.8 running on it but youtube videos play but without the video just audio. i'm also trying to upgrade it to lion . Hey guys just wondering how to you do a clean install of lion on a clean hard drive , how would i create a bootable usb, I'm trying to find a better way to reinstall lion without installing 10.6.8 first.Can someone tell me what i'm missing.

I'm trying to find a boot loader for my son's optipllex gx 240 , i got darwin 10.4.6 installed but can't find a boot loader to boot from. Can one of you guys please help me out.

hey Leon with the release of edp 2.1 is it safe to use lion as your main OS, Just wondering if i would have good battery life with my 9 cell battery.

This is the method i used.. https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/256-how-to-install-lion-on-d620/, also rebuild your system and make sure your not using apple battery manager in edp 1.9 , use voodoo battery kext instead. After i upgraded to 10.7 then i installed 2.1 with no problems.

Hey guys i just upgraded from 1.9 to 2.1 , at first i used the apple battery manager but got a kp , so know i'm using voodoo battery manager and all is well , my machine seems to run a little bit more smoothly know. Here's my Question , i used the sleep method from the wiki but didn't set a bios system password, I just enabled the require password when computer goes to sleep option and it seems to be working . Should i use a bios password or not . also before i upgraded my cpu temp range was from 43 to 60 know its 29 to 40 , will the lower cpu temps hurt my computer. also big thanks to Leon and Bronxteck or anybody else i forgot to mention for their hard work on Edp 2.1.

thanks guys i got sleep working.just waiting for edp 2.1 beta. update: after waking my machine and using it for bout 2min i get kp , tell me to turn off my macine and turn it back on.

I'm using edp 1.9 , but still no luck. I will wait for 2.1 beta zeppo says sleep works.

false alarm on the features. Okay can't get sleep to work with pmVersion=21 or 24 i get kp with both, I set pmVersion to 0 and i can boot with no kp , but i still have no sleep. Is there a new pmVersion for lion i can use.

Okay got 10.7 installed and i updated it to 10.7.1, my question is can i still use edp 1.9 to disable hibernation. Right know i have null power management enable with no sleep enabler, will the native sleep fix in the wiki work or do i need to use the sleep kext in the link u supplied.Also it seems like some of the lion features are turned off any ideas on how to check.

hey guys i installed lion on my d620, how ever i get a kp . It has to do with sleepenabler( busratio=21 cpus=2 arch=i386 pmversion=23).any ideas on how to fix this please.

try rebuilding your system and use apple power management instead of the null one or repair disk permissions, do repair disk permissions first and rebuild your system from backup, the apply sleep fix in the wiki, I did disk permission like 3 times back to back before it worked.

hey bronxtech, i updated the sleepenabler in my extra folder. but when i wake it up my screen is white and fades to blue, i have to force it to shutdown.it seems like like sleep is almost there but i'm missing something. also how is lion working out for you, i think when i get this down pack i will try lion.
