  1. Audio is working after installing voodoo 2.8.7. However huge white noise on headphone port. muted all microphone ports and playedwith settings no change. Anyone got E5540 headphone port working? quick search shows this is a common issue on newish Lattitude laptops..
  2. You sir are a legend! that has fixed my issue. I have no sound so next i'll try what you have mentioned in this thread and that should fix that. My last question is getting the battery indicator to work, reading around this can be fiddly, any pointers? Thanks again.
  3. Unfortunately this did not work for me i still have the menu bar issues, I did add the entry and it appeared under kextstopatch. i added it directly into the config file laid out. could anyone post their working config so i could see where i've gone wrong please?
  4. This topic helped me to install yosemite on my e5540. I had the same issues but trued the files supplied by bronxteck and that enabled me to boot. I have one last issue. My machine has the nvidia and HD4400. I have artefacts on the top bar and during boot, however things like youtube play in full hd with no stutter as well as me being able to change my account picture. In the past normally you can not do these if you have graphical issues. anyone help?
  5. Hi All, I have been attempting to install mavericks 10.9.4 on my E5540. I have attempted multiple usb configurations and setups but not been successful. My configuration is: E5540 Bios A07 i5-4300uCPU @ 1.90GHZ Intel HD Graphics so 4400 i'm presuming. Rebranded DW1397 wifi card from old hackintosh. Bios has been full set to defaults and sata operation set to AHCI. I have followed the Clover USB guide for E7440 here: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/6461-guide-e7440-with-clover/ Removed default boot args -gux_defer_usb2 dart=0 kext-dev -mode=1 set in clover options and tried a mix of the following: -v -x USBBusFix=Yes I have not once reached the setup screen yet. I have attached the -v screen... I noticed USBF lines show some kind of errors If anyone could help much appreciated....
