  1. Also, from the log: 07/10/2015 22:02:35.000 kernel[0]: Sound assertion in AppleHDADriver at line 1112 07/10/2015 22:02:35.000 kernel[0]: Sound assertion in AppleHDADriver at line 1085
  2. Had this patch there already, still nothing
  3. Tried updating to El Capitan and the process went smoothly, but alas, no audio again. Only thing changed from the Yosemite is the two entries in RtVariables for Clover config. Got FakePCIID kexts, dummy AppleHDA_ALC283 and Vanilla AppleHDA with patching through Clover. Tried repairing permissions but still no dice. Any ideas? ssprod, have you got it working in the end?
  4. Thanks. Will do! Also, I've noticed lots of 17/09/2015 18:39:22.482 powerd[48]: Failed to read current rating(0xe00002f0) warnings in my log. Is that from battery status? Thought I had that patched. How do I check if it's all as it supposed to be?
  5. nothing with Alps, I'm certain it's Synaptics: 17/09/2015 18:29:42.000 kernel[0]: VoodooPS2Trackpad starting: Synaptics TouchPad reports type 0x47, version 8.1
  6. If only things were that easy I can disable the trackpad with that key when it works (as far as I remember) but no dice in getting it back up. Voodoo2PS2 kext seems to be there and followed the instalation in the readme to the letter but I'm just stumped. Weird thing is, sometimes it does come back after a while!
  7. So far the Hackintosh seems to be working fine on my Dell 5537. One issue however. From time to time, the touchpad becomes unresponsive and the only way to get it working again is to reboot. Anyone experienced that? I'm using the VoodooPS2
  8. Might be. Patched the DSDT now and audio works like a charm. Haven't got anything to test HDMI at the moment and we'll wait and see with the shutdown, but so far, so good! Thanks for the help!
  9. Interesting about the shutdown. Will see what happens now and might try that solution if nothing else helps. Regarding the audio. I've upgraded the system to 10.10.5, installed both kexts from the posts you've linked to and added the four patches from the config.plist to the one in my EFI/Clover. Still no audio, though. Does the DSDT/SSDT need to be modified to change the layouts?
  10. From what I remember, AppleHDA is patched, but I think it was ALC283 pre-patched kext, not patching on the fly. Also, was there anything in the config that could prevent sleep/shutdown? So far, after a prolonged use, the laptop has massive problems with shutting down and sleeping. Sleep is spotty at best, but shutdown reliably stops working after ~5 hours of so of use. The system shuts down, the screen goes black but the power is still on and the laptop needs to be shutdown manually through a power button. Not sure why this only happens after longer use, haven't been able to find anything in the logs either.
  11. Did anyone successfully managed to get HDMI audio and sleep working on Dell xx37? I've hackintoshed mine a while ago but only got HDMI video and the sleep is spotty at best. It's I5-4200U with HD4400. Everything else seems to work and I've changed the WiFi card to rebranded AirPort one which works like a charm. Just wondering if there's any point in trying to install the Yosemite again and try to make it work slightly better. Thoughts?
  12. Hello. It seems like I have some problems with brightness setting. Every time my hackintosh goes to sleep and wakes up, the brightness goes down considerably. If it was down by only one bar, If I bring it back up by function keys, it goes back to full. Even though it looks like after wake it's around 25% brightness. So it seems like brightness gets saved in the system but doesn't get properly read at wake. Any ideas? I'm pretty sure I have Haswell brightness fix and Wake sleep in my DSDT so I'm at loss... Clover config and DSDT attached below! Config and DSDT.zip
