Sound is now working. Still issue with graphics. I have the Optiplex 760 USFF and have it set up with myHack and Mavericks 10.9.3. The only two issues are this: No sound have installed Vodoo HDA. Screen flickers when using Safari and Quicktime. Any help would be great. Fixed! I temporarily put Windows Xp on and downloaded the custom BIOS from here and installed it. Then did a clean install of the OS,EDP and edited the .Plist for the IntelCPUMonitor.kext. Works like a charm! Updated to 10.7.4 also

New thermal paste added and .plist for CPU edited. Still getting warm can't tell if the fan is working correctly. I ordered a new fan for it so we will see how that goes.

I have it apart right now the thermal paste was hard, and who ever did it applied way to much. I will be it back together latter today and edit the plist for the CPU. After I get a little rest........I will let you know how it goes. Thanks again Hervé!

2Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo BIOS ver A18 Intel GMA x3100 144mb EDP should have updated the CPUmonitor kext correct? If not steer me in the right direction..... My laptop uses thermal pads not thermal paste and look in good shape and the fan is working.

Thanks for all the help! Updated to 10.7.5 with no problems. Still running quite warm. Had no temp issues with it running Windows 8. I have already blown out the fan and internals a bit ago and I really dont want to have to take it apart if I dont have to. Currently 90 - 99 degrees. Still thinking it has to be a kext or software issue.

I re-ran the EDP package hopefully that will help. I have looked thru the forum on how to up date to 10.7.5. What are the proper steps?

I managed to get Lion up and running on my D630. A total n00b mistake I was trying to install over a copy of iFail L2. Runs well and I have ordered a new wifi card for it (DW1390). The only two issues I'm having it's getting quite warm and the fan comes on and stays on. I eventually have to shut down due to the high temp. Boot time seems long to. any suggestions or comments would be great. Thanks!

Hello all, Trying to install Lion on my D630. I use the "myhack" method for installation. I get a kernel panic at reboot: panic(cpu 0 caller 0x60689f): "A kext releasing a(n) OSArray has corrupted the registry."@/SourceCashe/xnu/xnu-169.22.73/libkern/C++/OSObject.ccp:218 Debugger called: <panic> Kernel Extensions in backtrace: org.tgwd.driver.elliottforceleagacyRTC(1.0) dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOACPIFamily(1.4) (I could not get a decent screen shot to show so I copied to important info I think) Any help would be appreciated. I just got my D630 (Non nvidia) Doing the research to get OS X 10.8 running on it.
