  1. Could you give me a copy of your EFI folder, I got the trackpad working with the original guide, Audio refuses to work and sleep is now broken even with a correct ssdt.
  2. No it isn't, I never even checked it to begin with. Has anyone had any luck getting the trackpad to work either?
  3. Follow the guide to make the clover stick. Then copy and replace ALL the contents of your EFI partition with mine. You can either restore the dmg to the partition or mount the dmg file and copy the files manually. This will get you to a working install with all working except sound and trackpad. FYI, I have the Core i3 version with the 4010U chip. Post back here with your results EFI.dmg.zip
  4. Haswell machines require the power managment patch applied to the kernel otherwise there will be an instant reboot. Are you using clover?
  5. Thanx J Lo, Lots of progress made!! What Works!! Graphics Incl HDMI and mini DP (dsdt patch and IGplatformID injection) Keyboard USB3 - disconnects drives on sleep Webcam SLEEP and Power Management Ethernet (cosmetic dsdt patch and AppleIntelE1000 What doest Work: Trackpad (Tried the cypress fork of VoodooPS2Controller) O2 Micro Card Reader (Tried patching the plist of the USB card reader. It seems to be PCI so this had no effect (Ven1217 Dev8520) Audio - No Tried the dsdt patch and the AppleHDA here (https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/5857-e6540) and also VoodooHDA 10.8.5 Brightness control - No - Tried patching the dsdt Also I had trouble trying to generate a ssdt for my machine. ssdtGen.sh doesn't work on haswell machines. The newer version in App form opened and immediately closed after. Here is the latest iteration of the dsdt that I have made edits to. I am using MacBookAir6,2 SMBIOS. DSDT.zip
  6. Thanks guys, The raw DSDT has 15 errors before any patching is done I am unable to get a PCI snapshot as I can only use the keyboard as an input device and cannot click the button, (No trackpad, No USB mice) I got the APCI dump from DPCIManager. Here they are. Archive.zip
  7. I failed utterly to get Yosemite installed on this machine as it would always give me an error "IOUSB Family failed to enumerate USB device" and get stuck I managed to get Mavericks onto it with the PM patch on the kernel and in safe boot to extract the dsdt. What works: Graphics - HD4400 (laggy in safe boot) SATA Keyboard. What Does not work USB (machine has only USB 3.0 ports but USB does not even show in system profiler. USB 2.0 drives or mice do not work. Trackpad Webcam - (USB device) Ethernet (intel 825xx) kext is available. WIFI - It a M.2 NGFF card. I will wait until I get the other stuff working before I takle this. I have got the errors on the DSDT down from 15 to 4 after applying HD4400, USB and other generic Haswell patches. The errors are all "syntax error parseop_integer expecting "," Does anyone know how to go about solving these? Thanks Patched DSDT 3340.zip
  8. Hi Trunyce, Use this bootpack, It had been fine tuned so there is no need to run EDP after. Install with myHack from your booted installation. If you are still having trackpad issues, you may have a hardware problem with the trackpad. D430_10.7.5.zip
  9. Sorry about the delay in replying, The genuine Airport card is an Atheros wireless N lspci gives me the following 0c:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Atheros Communications Inc. AR5418 Wireless Network Adapter [AR5008E 802.11(a)bgn] (PCI-Express) [168c:0024] (rev 01) Attached below is my DSDT Thanks dsdt.aml.zip
  10. Having an Issue trying to get WIFI working on my D430, It originally had an Intel card which I stripped out and replaced with a genuine Airport card from a MBP that i had scrapped. I am using a prepared Extra folder which has the DSDT modified to report a DW1395 as a real Airport, The card is not being detected at all under OS X. I had a HP version of a BCM4311 which i tried and then modified the Info.plist in the AppleAirportBrcm43224.kext plugin. Will this DSDT edit cause the WIFI to stop working? I also tried the DSDT from EDP and setting the wireless switch to do nothing in the BIOS but none of these steps have worked. What next?
  11. Use the boot pack. Replace AppleACPIPlatform.kext with this version. AppleACPIPlatform.kext.zip
  12. Fixed the issue with youtube (flash player) and the glitches as shown in the image above "Desktop 1" I moved the 4 Graphics kexts from /E/E to /S/L/E and ran a full myFix. Reboot and all working as it should be.
  13. Normal resolution with Jake Lo's frame buffer but still no fix. Do I need to roll all the Graphics kexts back to the ones in the boot pack?
  14. Thanks, but it didn't work. I get 4 screens with this one.
  15. Hi there guys. Updated to 10.9.2 last week. Flash will not work at all now. Javascript s enabled in the browser. I am putting this down to bad graphics drivers. People with real macs are reporting mirroring issues with this version also. When I enter mission control The small tiles representing open apps are flickering grey boxes. In youtube, the 5 second ad agh the start works. The video is black with sound. Is anyone else having this issue and has anyone else found a cure?
  16. I picked up this machine during the week and I reckoned that it would make a great 22" iHac. Specs are Intel C2D / Nvidia 8400GT / 22" LCD with 1680*1050 resolution. The problem I am running into is the screen going black when window manager starts. The only thing I could get to boot was the iFail ml (distro) installer. Installing it resulted in the same issue. However distros IMO are not the right way, so I would like a vanilla installation GPU details are as follows: Geforce 8400 GT - (10DE 0426) 128MB VRAM Any pointers on how I can get past this hurdle?
  17. Hurray!!. The best card at the moment to use is an Atheros Ar92bx95, Just modify the AppleAtheros40 kext bundle inside IO80211.kext in S/L/E. This card supports airdrop nicely unlike the broadcom 42xx ones. As for your trackpad, Use the link in my guide on this thread. Its on the nd page I think, I reference the link to another thread. 2 finger scrolling works with this method
  18. Hi Adrian, Can you boot into linux and post the results of lshw -short I had the i7 2.8 Intel HD3000, Are you sure you were installing the Extra folder from the myHack install drive instead of the generic one at the end of the installation?
  19. Hi Adrian, Try my Extra folder attached, Boot from USB installer --> my hack --> install extra --> use my own --> Pick the one attached and put in root of Macintosh HD. Let me know how you get on. Extra.zip
  20. Herve, I have an Atheros card pulled from a 2007 MacBook. I had even removed the card and the kernel panic still happened. If the smbios is set as a Macbook 3,1 it should expect this card, right? I think it was the 4,1 and later that came with the broad com ones
  21. Machine: D630 (Intel) 1280*800 / A17 Bios rev. OS: Snow Leo or Lion Problem: Cannot get past a kernel panic Bios settings have been set properly. KP happens before windowmanager starts. I have resorted to installing Lion on the drive with a real mac, running EDP on it and putting the drive back in my Dell. Same problem. I have tried disabling everything in the bios that is not required for it to boot including removing the wifi card etc. The KP is a type 14 / unresolved kernel trap fault, It usually mentions a kext. Removing it and running myfix results in a different kext being mentioned. I have attached a photo of the KP screen. If anyone can shed some light on this, it would be amazing.
  22. I have managed to get everything except for the card reader working on my E6320. I have the non Nvidia (HD3000) 2.8Ghz i7 model. This should work on any E6X20. My Bios version is A15 (Dsdt was compiled from this Bios under Linux) I will attach my extra folder and 2 kexts from s/l/e Trackpad scrolling was made to work with this guide (https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/2545-new-touchpad-driver-for-e6520-alps/) Well done and thanx! Sound was got working by patching HDEF in the dsdt and using a modified AppleHDA and a Fake92HD** kexts. Buttons work correctly to control audio (HDMI audio not tested yet) I swapped out my Intel wifi card for a real Apple one. I installed the system using the MyHack method. You will need a usb KB and mouse for the installation. Install the trackpad scrolling afterwards using the linked guide. Running 10.8.4 updated via software update from 10.8.3 (back up and replace AppleHDA first) Good luck, If anyone figures out the card reader, please let me know. Files below Dell E6x20 A15.zip
