All, I've got the an E6530 see spec below, ML is installed and working fine. Only thing i want to do now is change my 1366x768 screen to a FHD one. I was wondering if any one with an E6530 could tell me the model number on the back of their screen please?? so i can order up the exact one and get 1920x1080 resolution in osx. pretty sure I did this............copied the files to the ML drive extra\extension and when ran myfix it didn't give me the ML drive as a target. will try on tues

ok thx, sleep not a big deal any way. All works except bluetooth and SD, will try using Kext from the other E6530 post, will report back shortly tried the kext https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/2401-install-on-dell-latitude-e6530/ installed using kext beast is this ok??? still no SD or Bluetooth, help please.

also is sleep possible???

same problem after adding the above file and running myfix on usb installer gets to the welcome screen.and no mouse or keyboard, so cannot select language

doing this "Try to plug USB Installer on the left rear corner. That is the only USB 2.0 port on the E6530. " with no other usb devices connected got me to the welcome screen

Hi All, Also having some problems installing onto E6530 using the myhack USB, followed the documentation. also set the following Ensure you have your SATA controllers in AHCI mode. Ensure you have enabled your CPU’s C states. and "Also make sure Optimus under Video is uncheck / disable in the BIOS and enable XD CPU support under security" it gets to the welcome screen but cannot chose a language, the laptop keyboard, mouse or trackpad not responding and if i attach an external device still the same. if boot with external mouse or keyboard it halts @ [ PCI configuration end, bridges 6 devices 14] any help appreciated. E6530 Spec Intel I7-3740QM Nvidia NVS 5200M+Intel HD 4000 LAN: Intel 82579M

All, used the unifail method and installed fine, better install that the myhack for my laptop mouse, touchpad works and all the other things except when i restart the laptop goes to a black screen with the power button light on. any ideas how to fix restart please ????

reinstalled and tried the DSDT from link but failed to boot after restart used the DSDT=null to get back in so deleted the file.

installed kb_touchpad.zip from http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/261313-osx-on-dell-latitude-e6520/ and now lost keyboard and mouse ......hope i dont have to reinstall. does anyone know how to remove them???

also how about shutdown and sleep are there any fix for these?? thanks so far for help guys

TM takes forever cancel , installed kext and sound and network now fine. anyone know what kext does the touchpad and mouse? also is it possible to get card reader going???

thanks saw this guide but didn't follow as it was for SL, and as i got a booting ML with most things working didn't want to drop down to SL. creating a TM before i start messing with kext tired of reinstall

That's the guide I followed, it failed so used myhack to get it installed, just need to get sound and network and should be good to go for now
