Hi Hervè, I defenetly misunderstood your directions. You are the expert so I will follow your advise. As soon as I get home tonight i will put back applehda.kext in S/L/E and add the disabler to E/E. By the way, do u have a link for applehdadisabler ? I did google it but did not find it. I'm sure I could try to find again .. Thanks

First off thanks for your help Hervè. By following your advise i am now running 10.8.5 on my Asus N53SV. I had to go about it manually because for some reason as soon as i install EDP it makes my system to freeze when i reboot. No kernel panic just freezes at start up so This is how i did it. I started with my laptop running fine at 10.8.0 I removed VoodooHda.kext and did a MyFix full. then i went to appstore and performed an upgrade. that put me at 10.8.5 but no sound. after i rebooted i found AppleHDA.kext on S/L/E and deleted. i rebooted machine with myhack usb install and ran MyFix full when machine came back up i used Kext Wizard to verify that appleHDA was not loaded. then i dropped VoodooHda.kext on E/E rebooted with USB install stick and ran MyFix full from there. Rebooted machine and VOILÀ!! 10.8.5 with sound.. everything working just fine. Thanks again for your direction. PS: I'm still trying to figure out why only 4 out of the 8 core graphs show activity, so if you have any tips i would appreciate your input.

Ok, So by following Hervè advise i removed all instances of Voodoo.kext and then upgraded the machine. I am now running 10.8.5 Now my problem is that i cant get audio because i need to install Voodoo.kext so i ran Kext wizard and by clicking on the loaded kext after the upgrade i can see there are two kext that interfere with voodoo.kext and thats why i was getting my kernel panics. com.apple.driver.AppleHDAController (2.4.7fc2) com.apple.driver.AppleHDA (2.4.7fc2) I must remove these before i can install the Voodoo.kext to get my audio back what i have read is that appleHDA.kext must be removed before installing Voodoo.kext but i can't find appleHDA.kext or those two files any where in the system. any idea how to remove those two files or kexts so i can install voodoo.kext ? But VoodooHDA is whats giving my system sound. is there any way to protect the kexts I'm using so that when the upgrade takes place it doesn't update the kexts ?

Hi Guys, so im having a little issue maybe someone here understands the error and can help me. first i should say that by trial an error the only way i was able to get computer running was to use a 10.8 installation. now i have a 98% working system. I created a 10.8 usb install using myHack and then downloaded a folder from the WEB that has all the kexts for this system. 98% because the sleep mode doesn't properly works and also only half of the cores work. When you click on activity monitor and then on CPU Usage 8 CPU threads pop up. (this is a quad core laptop) so one thread shows activity, the other one doesn't next one shows activity, the other one doesn't... etc. any ideas ? now here is the real problem. every time i try to update the system like lets say 10.8.2 i get a kernel panic. the error says: " Notice - new kext com.apple.iokit.IOHIDSystem, v1.8 matches prelinked kext but cant determine if executables are the same " (no UUIDs I'm sure once i can fix that i will be able to get my machine to 10.8.5 Can any one help shed some light on how to go about this ? thanks.. After running EDP machine crashed. Tried to reboot, I get error message: Can't load kext com.appledriver.applesmcpdrc - failed to resolve library dependencies System uptime in nanoseconds: 20310021558 (error 0xdc00800e) Any ideas ??

Ok, so I tried installing chameleon. It didn't worked from the booting all the way from USB installer. I got error message. Then I tried booting from USB and then selecting the harddrive installation. I waited for it to boot to the desktop and then tried installation again. Bottom line It worked on the 3rd try. So if it doesn't work first time, try and try again. Eventually it works. So now that I finally got the machine to work something funny happens: When the machine first starts that is sitting at the chameleon boot loader screen waiting for my boot options the laptop keyboard and trackpad works. Once the machine fully boots the keyboard and trackpad and sound doesn't work. After running myhack using the 10.9 bootpack a few times the Ethernet finally works. I will try to download the EDP and see what happens. I will post my results.

OK, so i downloaded the new bootpack 10.9. this time it worked. created usb boot up sub pen/stick using mavericks OSX DP then used myhack to add the "extra folder" But... after the computer finished installing when it asks you to click on the check mark it gave an error. i try to reboot but it wont start just sitting at prompt: BOOT:0 I will continue to try to figure it out and post my findings. if anybody has any ideas throw them in.. Bootpack 10.9 doesn't have a "extra" folder. If anyone can download it and verify. Just folders like USB, audio, etc.. all kinds of drivers Bootpack 10.8 does have a "extra" folder. When I used it computer freezes at: Waiting for DSMOS. And it doesn't start the installation process. Should I do something while it says waiting for DSMOS ? I should mention I am using 10.8.4 to create install pen drive since you cannot purchase 10.8.0 maybe the 10.8 boot pack is not compatible with 10.8.4 Thanks again for all the help.

so after looking at the compatibility page i see that the Laptop with most compatibles checkmarks was the ASUS N53SV. I purchased it. here i go to install OSX. I downloaded OSX mac os Mountain lion (10.8.4) and downloaded the bootpack for ASUS n53sv 10.8 so created my hack usb install. Then when i click to add the EXTRA the bootpack DOES NOT contains an extra folder. Just a bunch of folders with different drivers on it. (Audio, webcam, Touchpad, USB.. etc) Now, i successfully created a D630 mackintosh, so i thought i was doing it things right. Am i doing something wrong ? did i miss a step.? so then i clicked on bootpack 10.9 downloaded and found extra folder on it. i used my hack and succesfully created a USB install. when i used it the computer just sits at: "Waiting for DSMOS" nothing happens. i have tried to no avail to find a N53SV guide. can anyone point to a guide or what am i doing wrong ? Ok, so today at 10:48:20 i had a freeze. i was able to catch it on time to grab very small logs. if anybody sees something here that explains the freeze, let me know. Thanks.. Ok sometime around 11:32am this morning i got another crash. It feels like it happens more often when i use remote desktop to connect to my windows server. I have attached a text file which i copy from the logs.. Maybe someone can help me make sense of it.. Ok, so by going to console I find that there is supposed to be something call crash report but for some reason is not being generated. Last night at 9:11 pm it frozed. When I rebooted and try and read the logs theres so musch stuff in it dont even know where to look. Any way to make it generate the crash report so that next time it frezzes I could get it ?

The freezes are totally ramdon. Sometimes after 1 hr sometimes after 5 mins usage. I have not installed any sw but I will look at console for the logs. Any specific commands I should type ?

Hi Guys, Thanks to this forum i am running OS 10.7.5 perfectly on my D630 with intel graphics 1440. Only problem is that once in a while i get ramdom freezer and i have to restart the machine. Question: Is there anywhere like any logs or maybe something i can install that would allow me to pin point whats causing the computer to freeze ? Thanks in advance for the help.

I have the optiplex 745 USFF and i have an Nvidia PCIx16 video graphics on it now. getting ready to build my 2 Hackintosh. Hopefully video works out the Box !!

I finally got my Dell DW 1510 (BCM4322) wireless card and the metal adapter and when installed it and reboot the machine all i got was a white screen. What a bummer !! All i can think is that the screws on the little adapter were too long and touch something under. I plugged in an external VGA monitor to the back of the Laptop and it works. I got video again, However i have a doubt.. I think that the LCD or the LCD controller in the back of the LCD went bad, but is it possible that the video card itself went bad to the display of the LCD but still good for the external monitor ? Reason i ask is cause im ready to purchase LCD screen or the controller if that's the issue instead of the video card (motherboard). Any suggestions ? second: Now that i have added the Wireless card, now i lost the webpage where they had the KEXT for it. does any of you guys have it ? Is the procedure to just copy the KEXT to the /Extra/Extensions folder and run MYFIX (full) from the MYHACK ? Thanks a lot for your help

Disabling the IDA (intel Dynamic Acceleration) Made a difference. about this mac reports 2GHz now, and i do find the machine to be a little faster. I decided to upgrade to T9500 (2.60MHz 6MB Cache) due to the fact that the Xtreme Processors (X9000 and X7800) Tend to run much hotter and the Heat sink on this laptops might not be adecuate. Once i install the new processor i will report back to the forum.. Thanks.

SUCESS !! (again) I clicked on updates but, decided to follow LOSTVAMPIRE advise and went to the apple website and downloaded 10.7.5 update combo. so i ran that. I need to point out to every one that follows this that when the installer reach towards the end and it said: "about a minute remaining" it took a long time. about half an hour after it said about a minute remaining i thought it was stuck so i left the machine alone and went out cause i didn't want to look at it. lol Came back home about two hours later and sure enough had the wonderful message: software installed successfully. Rebooted and now I'm at 10.7.5.. everything works the way its supposed to. I didnt have to re-run myhack or EDP or nothing. Basically what im saying is don't get desperate.. leave the machine alone and walk away.. it takes a long while for the update to complete once it says about a minute remaining.. Question: My D630 has a 2.0 processor yet when i click on about this mac it reports the processor as 1.81 GHz, does any one knows why ? I am at A17 BIOS. also whats the fastest processor i can upgrade to on this machine ? Im so happy with my machine i want to throw a faster processor on it. I have read that you can add upgrade to a T7800 (2.60GHz 4MB Cache 800MHz) or a T9500 (2.60GHz 6MB Cache 800MHz). Another upgrade would be RAM. I now have 4MB, but this machine takes 8MB, but that upgrade is rather expensive. Any Thoughts ??

nothing to do on completion ?? well, should i wait until i get the wifi card working before upgrading to 10.7.5 ? i mean my system is working perfectly and i don't want to mess anything up, so if the safer way is to get wi-fi working and then update to 10.7.5 thats what i will do. Then i will do a time machine backup. Let me know whats the best course of action...

SUCESS !!!!! SUCESS !! After following HERVE advise i found the right tool. "edpweb.command" i kept getting it confused with the edptool.command Now for everyone that reads this first time i clicked on it, it said: Applying fix... and it just sat there for an hour didn't do anything., i clicked again and it said disabling hibernation .... DONE !! and now my machine goes to sleep and wakes up everything works fine !! and yes it is running at 1440x900 Thanks to every one that helped me along the way.. I have ordered the Dell DW 1510 (BCM4322) wireless card (Dual-band N), now because it is a Half pci-e i also ordered a metal adapter (bracket) as suggested by HERVE. as soon as i get it i will install and report back to the forum. Question: I am running LION at 10.7.4 my question is: is there a specific way to upgrade to 10.7.5 ? or do i just click on updates and let the machine update itself ?? thanks...

Found the Dell wireless DW1490 a/b/g wi-fi card for less than 5 dollars on ebay.. im ordering it right now to regain my wi-fi.. The Broadcom 4322 is the one being used by Mariusz in his D630 and even supports N standard. Kext are available.
