Administrators Hervé Posted December 12, 2017 Administrators Share Posted December 12, 2017 According to Intel's own documentation, HD3000 supports displays up to 2560x1600 on DP. As far as I know HDMI output is limited to a max. resolution 1920x1080 or 1920x1200 as standard, like DVI and VGA. But I've read of tricks supporting your targeted resolution. Here for instance. Administrators Bronxteck Posted December 12, 2017 Administrators Share Posted December 12, 2017 maybe coredisplayfixup and lilu might help https://github.com/vit9696/Lilu/blob/master/KnownPlugins.md
bubble00
@Hervè.. it worked.. I had to use SwitchResX in order to create a custom resolution for the display limiting the refresh at 40. Probably HDMI has a limited bandwidth. Btw, everything is all but smooth.. it's fine for text editing but not for video playback.. seems like there is still something wrong because I think 40 Hz should be enough to see smooth movements..
