Moderators Jake Lo Posted April 12, 2018 Moderators Share Posted April 12, 2018 Can't just run the last line alone, must run the last 3 lines as I stated, or use this script in the terminal sudo permission.sh Quote I have to reinstall again. Argh. Reinstall #11 No need to reinstall, just boot with the USB installer and select the installed drive to boot. Once there, run the script that I attached. permission.sh
michaelo1981
But that’s the problem. I can’t get into OS X now.
michaelo1981
Only way I can do that if I reinstall then do it unless there’s a way to do it through the terminal in the installer
michaelo1981
So I download the file you made, copy it to my downloads folder then run it after I copy the kexts to the right folders?
Moderators Jake Lo Posted April 12, 2018 Moderators Share Posted April 12, 2018 Correct. The script replaces all those commands so you won't make a mistake typing it. Can you boot with the USB installer, select the installed drive and boot with the following command? KernelBooter_kexts=Yes -f -v
michaelo1981
No. No flags alter the boot sequence after I try booting the second time which forces me to do the reinstall everytime
michaelo1981
As soon as I copy the kexts over and try to rebuild ccche and edit the kernel plist. That’s when everything goes to hell. Because before that I can boot into OS X fine
michaelo1981
3 minutes left in reinstall #
michaelo1981
Can’t help but to think of I used the uefi in clover if this would be any simpler
Moderators Jake Lo Posted April 12, 2018 Moderators Share Posted April 12, 2018 UEFI Clover is a lot simpler now than it was when it came out. It has many advantages over Chameleon. For one, you can use UEFI over Legacy No need to add kernel, no need to manually patch kexts or update the kernel on each update, can be done on-the-fly with Clover
