Administrators Hervé Posted December 23, 2018 Administrators Share Posted December 23, 2018 To re-focus the thread on tits initial and entitled topic, ALC292 audio on this model couldn't be easier to activate: vanilla AppleHDA in /S/L/E AppleALC + Lilu kexts in Clover's Other folder or cached from /L/E audio layout #12 (0x0C) injected in DSDT or through Clover config and that's it. This has been listed, relisted, posted and re-posted dozens of time in many E6x40/E7x40 threads. There's absolutely no need to do anything with FBPatcher or anything of the sort. Keep it simple and to the point.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted December 23, 2018 Moderators Share Posted December 23, 2018 All the patcher does for audio is add in the layout-id, it's an incomplete Config file. If you have that on the current Config, then you won't need it. Post new debug file
TheOtherOne
new debug file I took everything out what was tried with FBPatcher after a fresh install I didn't touch applehda and id 12 is set no audio when I open clover configurator the screen flickers and turns black for a second i have two drives and at the moment only the Mojave drive is activated. it seems like something is missing from the other efi partition. debug_29408.zip
Moderators Jake Lo Posted December 23, 2018 Moderators Share Posted December 23, 2018 You have layout-id set to 1 in DSDT, so that's taking precedent. It's showing in your IOReg file too Here, use this DSDT, I just remove the layout-id and it should take the layout-id from the Config file now. What happened to the USBPort kext I attached? It's not showing in your debug files DSDT.aml.zip
TheOtherOne
thank you very much for your help, Jake Lo since I got confused about all the kext flying around and after I read Herves advice, I took everything out just to see from the bottom... now I add your dsdt.aml and then next... the subport.kext was on the hdd efi partition now its only the ssd active. I add this one now ...

Moderators Jake Lo Posted December 23, 2018 Moderators Share Posted December 23, 2018 Still showing layout-id as 1 and the DSDT was not the one I just attached which obviously mean you are booting from a different set of files or source.
TheOtherOne
I moved your dsdt to /patched and now audio is working finally. But this weird graphic behavior is strange. I am using WEG and Lilu and I have QEQI. Every time when I open Clover the screen freaks out. And the USB doesn't work right...
Moderators Jake Lo Posted December 23, 2018 Moderators Share Posted December 23, 2018 Remove USBInjectAll.kext, not needed with USBPort.kext In Config files, do this under kextToPatch: Disable-> disable port limit inXHCI Enable ->0x0a260006 9MB cursor bytes patch Disable -> SecondStagePatch 10.12 Enable -> HDMI-audio (Optional if you want HDMI audio to work) Uncheck AppleIntelCPUPM <- IvyBridge and below only, not for Haswell
