[Solved] Latitude 3400: KP trying to install Catalina

Recommended Posts

Alright, so I finally got my 1820A card working fully in macOS, but can't for the life of me get the trackpad working. I got 1820A working by finding my device with IORegistryExplorer: GP10 - 1D,1 with the 14e4,4353 injection

If anyone has any tips on getting the trackpad working on these 3400 Series laptops, that would be greatly appreciated! Here is my debug output.

Remove VoodooI2CSynaptics.kext and add VoodooI2CHID.kext.

You might need to reboot a few times before it'll work.

If that still doesn't work, you could remove VoodooI2C and VoodooI2CHID and SSDT-I2C.aml and just use PS2 kext.

I see the problem. Restore the 2 kexts above.

Replace the Config and SSDT with the attached.

Thank you for continuing to help me troubleshoot this issue. I restored the two kexts and replaced the config and SSDT files that you attached. Still no trackpad improvement yet.

Question: should I be using GenI2C to patch my DSDT file?

I have never tried it, but give it a try to see if it works better.

Well I tried to build the patches but the app crashes every time I try to generate them.
