durian
I updated my laptop from 10.15.3 to 10.15.4 last night. - Upgraded Clover to r5107 - Upgraded Lilu, weg and AppleALC to the latest. All hardware seems to be working fine except audio. "System Information"->"Audio" is blank. Any help is much apreciated.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted March 28, 2020 Moderators Share Posted March 28, 2020 Try repairing permissions and rebuild cache You'll need to unlock the drive first, see FAQ here If still failed, then attach debug file
durian
Hi Jake, I've tried to repair permission a few times already. sudo spctl --master-disable sudo mount -uw / sudo killall Finder sudo chown -v -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions sudo chmod -v -R 755 /Library/Extensions sudo chown -v -R root:wheel /Library/Extensions sudo touch /Library/Extensions sudo kextcache -i / debug file attached. debug_22705.zip

durian
Hi Jake, Thank you for all the help. Sound is working now. (speaker/headphones). What is causing the issue ? Trying to learn here. I've attached another debug file here which sound is working. debug_10012.zip
Moderators Jake Lo Posted March 28, 2020 Moderators Share Posted March 28, 2020 AppleBacklightInjector.kext is integrated in Whatever green so it's not needed anymore FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics.kext is not needed either with Whatevergreen Main issue is AppleHDA_ALC292.kext, you already have AppleALC.kext in Clover kext. It's just interfering with the kext.
Administrators Hervé Posted March 28, 2020 Administrators Share Posted March 28, 2020 Basically, AppleHDA_ALC292 was an injector to be used in conjunction with a binary patched AppleHDA; totally useless on its own with vanilla AppleHDA and obsolete now that Lilu + AppleALC kexts take care of things with vanilla AppleHDA.
