Tal Rahav
I have the exact same laptop but I can’t install OS X in it. I did follow a guide on hackintosher website but when I boot from the usb and choose install high sierra I just see Apple logo but nothing happens. I did disabled vt-d in bios but still no success. Is there a guide for this laptop to start from scratches? thanks.
Allan
Hello @Tal Rahav, welcome to OSXLatitude. Boot with -v debug=0x100 and if the boot stops, post a pic here. And to avoid issues with Vt-d, you use dart=

Moderators Jake Lo Posted August 6, 2018 Moderators Share Posted August 6, 2018 Did you follow the 1st post? Guide to create installer and bootpack included (Clover v2)
Tal Rahav
i didn't really understood what to do. i made a bootable usb for high sierra and then mounted the EFI partition and copied EFI folder that i downloaded (it is clover v2 i think). that it. If there is a more detail guide it would help. also if someone (with vostro 5568) can upload His EFI folder so i can just replace it with mine might also get the job done. my vostro is with cpu i5 7200u and geforce 940mx. Administrators Syonagar Posted August 7, 2018 Administrators Share Posted August 7, 2018 Dear @Tal Rahav, Did you use the clover bootpack in the first page? How did you create your usb installer? I have not updated the bootpack for a while but let me see if I can create a new one based on 10.13.6, latest kexts and latest clover.
Tal Rahav
Thanks that will be great! I used this guide https://hackintosher.com/guides/high-sierra-install-full-guide/ I didn't use a real mac for this steps by the way. used a vmware vm
Tal Rahav
"(2) Install Clover with following config, add appropriate bootpack below Install for UEFI booting only Install Clover in the ESP Drivers64UEFI\OsxAptioFixDrv-64" Where do i install it? into my VM? i didn't really understand what I need to do here. Tal Rahav
Ok I figured it out. I needed to install clover into the EFI partition of the bootable installer high Sierra usb with this additions nstall for UEFI booting only Install Clover in the ESP Drivers64UEFI\OsxAptioFixDrv-64 Which I now did. But it is still doesn’t work if I try to run the installation from the boot menu it shows the Apple logo for a few seconds and than restarts. so I tried to run it with -v debug=0x100 and this is what I get. I think that the version of the high Sierra installation is 10.13.6 (downloaded it with the high Sierra patcher tool) should I try to use 10.13.0? Or it has nothing to do with the version? Moderators Jake Lo Posted August 7, 2018 Moderators Share Posted August 7, 2018 No, looks like it's the Clover loader issue. What BIOS version are you running? Did you set the BIOS to load Defaults, apply and then set it to? UEFI, AHCI, Legacy Option ROMs disabled, Secure Boot Disabled, wake on LAN disabled Reboot to Clover, press F4 at the GUI. Now compress and attach the Clover folder here for review.
