Takiller
@Lego, You must carry on with Preboot, as Big Sur 3 has some bug of not renaming back to the original name after install.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted July 30, 2020 Moderators Share Posted July 30, 2020 Chris1111 has this wifi app that can fix that issue even though you don't have that wifi Just install, allow the realtek in Security, then uninstall. Reboot and the name is back to normal. https://github.com/chris1111/Wireless-USB-Big-Sur-Adapter/releases/tag/V3

Takiller
The one you sent me 3 posts above Only three fingers gesture is not working and trackpad does not show in system preferences
Moderators Jake Lo Posted August 2, 2020 Moderators Share Posted August 2, 2020 The kext is for an Alps touchpad by 1Revenger1. I just made 2 changes the the keyboard and trackpad kext renaming com.apple.iokit.IOHIDSystem to com.apple.iokit.IOHIDFamily. Check your Battery status is working, if that's working, then the touchpad preference should be enable. From your bootpack, looks like you're using an old version of ACPIBatteryManager, try replacing it with SMCBatteryManager. Attached version works for BS.
