lilgeek
I have the same device with the same firmware but I want to install Big Sur on my nvme ssd (CT500P1SSD8). But I heard having non apple nvme as the internal disk can raise some issues, Is that correct?
Administrators Hervé Posted October 28, 2020 Administrators Share Posted October 28, 2020 Yes and you can look that up, it's well documented in numerous places/threads/posts. Your Crucial model is not affected.
lilgeek
The touchpad is improved to me at least after I added both VoodooSMBUS and VoodooRMI Like @Jake Lo suggested. But another thing is the touchpad was disabled for like a second after typing any character with the keyboard (I think this is the reason that made the touchpad feel clumsy) so I disabled `DisableWhileTypingTimeout` in VoodooRMI and `QuietTimeAfterTyping` in VoodooPS2Trackpad, surprisingly the default value is `500000000` lol I attached my EFI with these changes, It's basically the same as OP but I made changes stated above and replaced the BCM wifi/bluetooth kexts with intel kexts for the combo card that came with the laptop (intel 8265) EFI.7z
Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 1, 2020 Moderators Share Posted November 1, 2020 With VoodooSMBus and VoodooRMI, you need to disable VoodooPS2Mouse and VoodooPS2Trackpad or don't add them in Config file.
