jfrank58
My Dell Latitude 6430 (i7 processor & 16GB RAM) is running Mojave 10.14.6 with no issues except WiFi. I have replaced the wifi card with the DW1560, yet can not get wifi to appear. Continue to say "no hardware installed". Any ideas or solutions? I'm using a wifi adapter and that works fine, but I'd rather use built in DW1560 card. EFI is attached. Thank you. EFI.zip
Moderators Jake Lo Posted September 1, 2020 Moderators Share Posted September 1, 2020 The E6430 only have a mini PCIe slot for wifi, the DW1560 is an M.2. Are you sure about the device model?
Administrators Hervé Posted September 1, 2020 Administrators Share Posted September 1, 2020 Indeed, cannot be a DW1560; maybe DW1550 in which case the same patches as used with Mojave need to be applied.
jfrank58
Sorry for mis-information. The card is actually the DW1520 which I thought worked with the Dell Latitude 6430. But with my current EFI (attached) I am not able to make DW1520 functional with Mojave 10.14.6. Any help is appreciated. EFI.zip
Administrators Hervé Posted September 2, 2020 Administrators Share Posted September 2, 2020 DW1520 is fully supported, just not natively. All appropriate details in our Wifi forum sub-section (inventory + AirPortBrcm4360 patching thread) if you care to search... NB: your Clover config needs serious revisiting. Moderators Jake Lo Posted September 2, 2020 Moderators Share Posted September 2, 2020 DW1520 is subject to whitelisting. See here how to patch it
