tanya
I lately got hold of a brand new Dell Latitude 3400 so I went installing Big Sur. It went surprisingly easy, and I can boot (from USBstick OC 0.63 ) into a login screen Big Sur. But there are, of course, problems: I'm stuck in here ( see picture ) . Two things (so far) are not working: 1) trackpad not working 2) USB is not working at al , so I can't connect a USB-mouse So I am stuck here... ( can't do Keyboard setup Assistent) Question: is there anybody out there who has a working mousepad with Big Sur on Latitude 3400 ?? And if yes... How?? Greetz. Tanya. tanya
Hello, Moving on!! USB is working, SSDT-RHUB.aml did the trick!! So: Working: - integrated keyboard - accelerated Video Inter UHD 620 - ethernet RTL8111 - built in webcam Not working: - audio ( is: Realtek ALC3204 ) - trackpad
Moderators Jake Lo Posted December 1, 2020 Moderators Share Posted December 1, 2020 ALC3204 = ALC236 Try layoutid 3, 11, or 54 You currently have set it to 1 As for Touchpad, you need to add a satellite kext besides the VoodooI2C. Most likely you need VoodooHID. You should add SMCBatteryManager.kext as well for battery status and maybe Sinetek-rtsx.kext for SD Card reader if it has it. Post IOReg file with IORegistryExplorer.app v2.1 for better understanding
tanya
Really moving on: Sound: internal speakers & headphone output working: alcID=15 did the trick . WIFI: itlwm.kext & Airportitlwm.kext ( works with unencrypted SSID en wep SSID ) so working: - integrated keyboard - accelerated Video Intel UHD 620 - ethernet RTL8111 - built in webcam -sound ALC3204 ( seems to be same as: ALC236) -build in microphone -bluetooth -WiFi (!) Intel AC 9560 ( itlwm.kext with unencrypted SSID) not working - trackpad - HDMI for external monitor
Moderators Jake Lo Posted December 1, 2020 Moderators Share Posted December 1, 2020 itlwm.kext or Airportitlwm.kext, not both. If itlwm.kext, you need to use Heliport.app to configure settings For Bluetooth, add IntelBluetoothFirmware + IntelBluetoothInjector Did you add VoodooI2CHID.kext as suggested for the touchpad? Please post IOReg file as suggested for further assistance For better screenshot, use Alt+Shift+3 or Alt+Shift+4 to select Window to capture

Moderators Jake Lo Posted December 2, 2020 Moderators Share Posted December 2, 2020 The SMBIOS is incorrect. Under platforminfo, change UpdateSMBIOSMode = Custom Post your updated Config file
tanya
Hallo, I guess you 're right: Now the serial number is displayed and I have a MacBook Pro 16,1: see picture : I tried these kexts but still no Trackpad. config.plist.zip EFI_latitude_mostWoriking_2dec.zip Still moving on: I used a different SMBIOS. from this Reddit post, it says: "If you still can't get it to work, try a different SMBIOS. I used MacBookPro15,4 and 16,3 and it works perfectly." so I tried 15.4 and look: build in HDMI port still isn't working but USB-c to HDMI starts working !! Still not working: Trackpad + build in HDMI port. but working on the post "Fix HDMI port" : it's a bit complicated.
