Moderators Jake Lo Posted January 11, 2021 Moderators Share Posted January 11, 2021 Hervé has a pretty thorough guide here for BS with OpenCore. Follow steps 1, 2 and 3 Use bootpack from here for E5470, rename the folder to EFI If you don't have a Mac to do this, then you'll just have to google for a Windows guide, plenty of guides out there. Just replace the EFI folder with one I linked

They are not working and touchpad is also not working but I think I am ok. I am using both external mouse and Tplink usb wifi dongle.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted January 14, 2021 Moderators Share Posted January 14, 2021 touchpad not working or no gesture? Assuming you have Intel Wifi /BT, you need to add kexts for them. Should be able to find with some googling.

Bu Yezi
Hi @Jake Lo, I created USB installer using the same guide and used same EFI folder but I'm unable to install on my Dell E5470 (BIOS version 1.14.4). SSD SK hynix SC311 M.2 2280 256GB. upon pressing F12 I can see OpenCore and UEFI: <USB DRIVE>. I tried installing from both OpenCore and UEFI: <USB DRIVE>. but I'm getting following error. See the screenshot attached. I tried several times, once it shown Disk Utility but I was confused about APFS formatting. Shutdown the machine again to start fresh. Booted again selecting USB but stuck on the attached error screen again with the support.apple/mac/startup message. Please help! 1. 2.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted July 24, 2021 Moderators Share Posted July 24, 2021 Seems like USB issue. Do you have UEFI and AHCI enabled in the BIOS?
Bu Yezi
Yes, both UEFI and AHCI enabled in the BIOS. Big Sur 11.5 is download from my iMac directly from Appstore.
