ac23
OK so today I plugged my Apple Cinema 30" Display into my e6230. Before I plugged the monitor in I just had the Active USB powered HDMI to DP adapter into an active USB powered DP to Dual Link DVI-D plugged in. By having the "optimized for LCD" it makes the internal laptop LCD 1080. Any to my amazement - the internal laptop display is working at a higher resolution - higher than I thought possible technically on this display but it works....check the photos I wonder if this can forced permanently without the adapters plugged in? It works fine with Youtube and videos - no issues!!

Administrators Hervé Posted March 18, 2021 Administrators Share Posted March 18, 2021 Of course, your true screen resolution remains at 1366x768; it's just software upscaling, not true full HD res of course and resulting picture quality is naturally a little degraded. 1600x900 is probably a better resolution on a 12,5" LCD than 1920x1080... Also has to be 16:9 aspect.
