philstopford
Hello, Using the bootpack from https://osxlatitude.com/forums/topic/15517-dell-latitude-7280-updated-opencore-067-pack-for-big-sur/?do=findComment&comment=108181, (the HD620-Intel config file) the Latitiude 7480 comes up nicely in Big Sur 11.3, but I've noticed that sensors are missing from iStat Menus (5.32). I can't decide whether this is an issue with the changes in Big Sur for this software, or something in the bootpack. I am therefore posting for advice
Administrators Hervé Posted April 27, 2021 Administrators Share Posted April 27, 2021 Maybe VirtualSMC and its sensors are not appropriate for iStats Menus app; you could try to switch to FakeSMC and its sensor PlugIns to compare behaviour. I've just tried v5.32 on my old C2D Vostro200 desktop (all my Hacks run with FakeSMC) and the usual CPU, thermal or other fan and SSD sensors were reported and shown. philstopford
Would that be this one? https://github.com/CloverHackyColor/FakeSMC3_with_plugins
Administrators Hervé Posted April 27, 2021 Administrators Share Posted April 27, 2021 That's one of them (Slice's). I use this one (old versions by Rehabman forked off Kozlek's work): https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-fakesmc-kozlek/downloads/
philstopford
Went with the old versions initially; that seems to work. Will experiment with the 'newer' ones shortly, to see how they behave. Thanks!
