Elitebook 840 G3: issues with apps after waking from sleep

I have a Elitebok 840 G3 that has issues with sleep.  IT will sleep just fine, it will also wake from sleep ok but after wake certain apps will not load.  For example I have Brave installed and if I quit Brave and try to re-open it will just bounce indefinitely.  I also can't get youtube videos to load in Safari though Safari will quit and load just fine.  If I reboot all these issues go away and everything works fine.  I am using @Jake Lo Opencore files from this site.
