robi62
It does not work properly If you update from a working version of snow. You have to start from beginning with 10.6.0 then install EDP and update then should work fine like on mine
zx81
ok, i've just done a clean install of 10.6, installed edp1.5rc7 and latest chameleon, updated to 10.6.6 still getting kernel panic on wake from sleep. the kernel extensions in backtrace are com.apple driver.AppleUSBComposite(3.9.0) and com.apple.iokit.IOUSBFamily(4.1.7) any ideas. could this be to do with bios? i have A05 bios, i just saw there was A09 on dell site.. i don't have windows to update it though! or could it be that i have to roll back to the 10.6.5 usb kexts (like on multi beast) even though i'm using d430 dsdt.. anyone? Administrators Leon Posted February 21, 2011 Administrators Share Posted February 21, 2011 You should allways use latest bios...
zx81
well that's easier said than done dos and windows seem to be the only way to update bios.. i guess i will find a way. but i did wonder if anyone had had this problem before. sometimes it's nice to understand why something is happening rather than applying magic fixes left right and centre. will persevere though cos i like my little 430 and sleep is the only thing left i need to sort on it.... zx81
ok so it seems the problem is sorted! i made a freedos boot disk and used that to update the bios to latest A09 so far with one sleep attempt no kernel panics
