muranb
Running my D630 X3100 1280x800 with Lion 10.7.4 - sleeps and wakes without a problem when I close / open the lid or use the menu options but on wake there is no ethernet connection. I have installed sleepenabler.kext for Lion and have used MyFix Full but still no connection on resume. Am I doing something wrong? Administrators Hervé Posted April 3, 2013 Administrators Share Posted April 3, 2013 I'll verify that behavior; I never use the built-in Ethernet, only the wireless and that certainly has no issue after wake under Lion 10.7.5.
muranb
Thanks, awaiting arrival of my Broadcom Bcm94312mcg so that should hopefully fix the problem. In the meantime I'll update to 10.7.5.
Administrators Hervé Posted April 3, 2013 Administrators Share Posted April 3, 2013 Just tried and there's no problem at all after wake on my D630 X3100 LoRes under 10.7.5. Wired Eth is active again after wake.
muranb
Thanks, I have updated to 10.7.5 and have it all working well inc. sleep / wake with my new wifi card. Thinking this may be a 10.7.4 issue I have just tried Ethernet again without wifi and after sleep, settings report network cable unplugged - connection does not resume. I am not too bothered now I have working wifi but would be nice to know why it's not reconnecting.
Administrators Hervé Posted April 3, 2013 Administrators Share Posted April 3, 2013 Can't say right now... Are your BIOS settings aligned with recommended parameters and which Ethernet kext do you have in /E/E?
muranb
Yup, bios all set as per wiki Using BCM5722D.kext
Administrators Bronxteck Posted April 3, 2013 Administrators Share Posted April 3, 2013 you can try with this experimental kext found here http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/247470-bcm5722-bcm5754m-bcm5755m-bcm5787m-and-bcm5906m-nic-driver-3264-bit/
muranb
Do you mean the .kext referred to in the first post of that thread? If so, I'm pretty sure that's the one I am using already ...
