Derrick
So, after much trial and error, I finally got Mountain Lion working using the iat kos ML3 installer instead of Uni-Beast. Just installed with default patches and no sound or networking, and the Intel graphics disabler. I then applied most of the kexts in the OP of this thread. The last thing I need to get working is HD4000. I now have full resolution via Chameleon Wizard, but do not know exactly how to enable HD4000, as it was not installed originally. I think i can get figure it out but any help is appreciated. Thanks.

If you have the latest Chameleon install, try booting with this flag: IntelCapriFB=a_value from 0 to 11 until you get one that gives you full QE/CI Add this to your boot.plist when you find that magic number 0 = 000066011 = 01006601 2 = 02006601 3 = 03006601 4 = 04006601 5 = 05006201 6 = 06006201 7 = 07006201 8 = 08006601 9 = 09006601 10 = 0a006601 11 = 0b006601

I do this after copying the intelhd kexts to /s/l/e?
Moderators Jake Lo Posted December 12, 2013 Moderators Share Posted December 12, 2013 Thanks. I do this after copying the intelhd kexts to /s/l/e? No, just boot with IntelCapriFB=3. If that doesn't work, try the next number.
Derrick
Thanks. I actually did copy the Apple Intel files back to S/L/E, and it magically worked! I will try your method if it wonks out on me, though. I now have a working 10.8.3 installation. I think the only thing I am missing now is sleep (mine and my laptop's). When I choose Sleep from the menu, the display shuts off but the fan keeps spinning, and it will not wake back up. I have the kexts supplied in the OP installed properly, I think. Any suggestions? Jobe5150
I gotta say, thank you very much for this guide. I have a Dell 17 3721 i3 and been trying like mad to get anything working and stable. The Kexts files provided have helped a lot, and I'm learning a lot as I go. A few things of note... Having a hellva time getting my distro up to 10.8.5 or mavericks, I need this to get xcode working. I came across this post: http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=288569 And in there is seems the Dell Wireless 1704 that comes in the laptop is a Broadcom based chip. BCM43142 possibly? Is there anyway to test this out? Also, last issue...I have a PNY 32GB USB 3.0 drive I'm trying like hell to get to work right. I seem to get that boot0 error even after making it in a certian program and coping over the GenericUSB kexts provided and used in this post. The dell I know has 2, 3.0 ports and 2, 2.0 ports. So is anyone else having this USB stick being 3.0 issue and resolution? And a big thank you to the community at large, there's tons of resources out there and thanks to everyone who contributes. dudadas
Thanks for this beautiful, well thought guide. As questioned before, is there any possibility with HDMI? It would be remarkable if somebody manage to get it work
edutitlaxso
Greetings All! I am new to the hackintosh scene. I have the same laptop, and your guide helped me getting aworking mavericks installation. The only thing that doesn't work yet is WIFI.I know that for that I have to replace the card and I am considering this card, Azure wave BCM4352 WIFI+BT 4.0 Half mini PCIe http://www.embeddedworks.net/wlan507.html My question is will it work without any BIOS whitelist issues?? I might have a dual boot with windows so will it work error free in that aswell. I haven't bought it yet, so I want to be absolutely sure before doing so. My specs are: i3-3217u HM75 BIOS A08 THANKS
LMCICIOSR
Hello all, I have a Dell Inspiron 17 3721 and I have been pulling my hair out trying to get OS X Mavericks to install. I've had luck getting to the install screen using unifail but after about 5 minutes of install the installer fails and I'm not sure why.. Any insight to what I'm doing wrong would be great. Thanks Jimmy
