welp
Sorry I meant Jake Lo's post. When I loaded the OS, the wifi icon didnt show up. So I followed his steps and I see the wifi icon but it wont let me do anything with it.
Administrators Hervé Posted October 28, 2013 Administrators Share Posted October 28, 2013 Mmm, maybe you should undo your changes. DW1390/Broadcom BCM4311 works OOB. Nothing specific to do with that card.
welp
I am doing a fresh install now. I took note of all the changes I made and Will see how this goes.
welp
Just did a fresh install and the WIFI is not automatically found. Nothing is being shown for the wifi. When I look in the EDP tool, I don't see any drivers for it.
Administrators Hervé Posted October 28, 2013 Administrators Share Posted October 28, 2013 Correct, there are no additional drivers for this card (assuming it's a DW1390) because it works natively out of the box with the vanilla kexts. Can you lift up your laptop's keyboard to check the exact card model? I assume it is enabled in the BIOS and wireless switch on the left side is ON, right? welp
Yes, everything is set to on. Looking at the chip now, it is BCM4311KFBG.
Administrators Hervé Posted October 28, 2013 Administrators Share Posted October 28, 2013 No Dell or HP label on the card? Not that it would change anything, though...
welp
No. I bought the card online. I know it works because it was working with 10.8.
