Administrators Leon Posted February 3, 2011 Administrators Share Posted February 3, 2011 Sweet.. remember to document your progress so that we later can have others test it also or even better, put it into EDP...
Thund3rbolt
Strange behavior with Slice's branch Chameleon. I am FINALLY getting full speed on the fsb and nice to see 2 ghz instead of 1.81 but when I launch about this mac I get a steady pinging sound and mouse clicks to open folders is delayed or doesn't open. Other than that sleep working audio video .. all good. Also tried Anvil but my cpu speed drops to 1.2 ghz! Ouch.

Administrators Leon Posted February 6, 2011 Administrators Share Posted February 6, 2011 Give it a try.. i use it as a replacement for speedstep.. sure.. it costs 10$ .. but thats a fair price
Thund3rbolt
Give it a try.. i use it as a replacement for speedstep.. sure.. it costs 10$ .. but thats a fair price Will do but there is a problem with the fsb and chameleon regardless of speedstep. Don't think coolbook can solve that. Does coolbook actually cool your notebook better that say speedstep though .. performance wise it is improved? Just don't wanna spend the money unless it's really going to be a benefit.
Administrators Leon Posted February 6, 2011 Administrators Share Posted February 6, 2011 i use coolbook everyday, and yes.. i feel both a performance and cooling gain
Slice
I have two reports that very bad for me "with your bootloader the computer can't sleep while with trunk yes". I really loose sleep capability and perform tests why. I deleted all modules except modules: GUI.dylib klibc.dylib Memory.dylib Resolution.dylib All others is not needed. Then I change back from VoodooPS2 to ApplePS2. Now sleep/wake works! Then I replace IOPCIFamily with v263 and have fully working system after wake So I didn't confirm that my bootloader has something bad for sleep. It has no relation to the problem. Administrators Leon Posted February 22, 2011 Administrators Share Posted February 22, 2011 Slice, should we start to consider to use your bootloader as default for EDP and dist. it together with EDP ?
