Hi there,

I've just submitted all necessary files for a DSDT/SSDT Patch for:

Dell Latitude E5530 non-vPro

Intel Core i3-3110M Processor (3M Cache, 2.40 GHz)

Has anyone tipps on the installation process or the files for the extra folder?

Greetings

Hi Bronxteck and pocenguyen,

thanks for your help. But I'm a total beginner with Hackintoshes and do not understand many of the steps I should... It would be great if one of you could give me a hint with the following problems (i have done some research but do not quite get it...):

1.) When playing with a kext, I simply copy it into the /Extra/Extensions folder on my internal HDD. Then I reboot with -x GraphicsEnabler=No. That seems to work. But I've read a bit about the -f parameter and myFix. What role do they play? Do I have to use/run them when changing a kext? What is the kext cache?

2.) When I do not use the -x parameter I get a kernel panic in AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext (without any further helpful text - only memory addresses). Do I have to delete the kext somehow? Do I have to exchange it?

Greetings

Elleug

try booting with -v GraphicsEnabler=Yes IntelCapriFB=3

If it kernel panic,  list the error here. You said it kernel panicked with AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext, can you list the version number. If you're using the generic bootpack, it has nullcpupowermanagment and should not encounter error you mentioned.

Please list what's in your Extra/Extension folder.

You could read more about myHack here.

yes you can delete AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext or use nullcpu kext. ivy and haswell cores do not use it unless you use sandy machine smbios identifier and ssdt plus some modded plists. and yes if you replace kexts in Extra/Extensions folder you have to run myfix so it can transfer the kexts into kernel cache
