gRIMwORLD
So I installed 10.9 on my D630 with NVS 135M Some how I see the Graphics as Geforce 8400, surely I did something wrong but as the first mac install I was following guides and testing stuff to see the results but not maybe digging to deep into what was actually changing. I know I can start over and reinstall but is there a way to change the vga driver/identifier back to quadro nvs 135M.With GF 8400 the graphics are choppie, no hd on youtube and HWMonitor does not detect GPU
Administrators Bronxteck Posted February 14, 2014 Administrators Share Posted February 14, 2014 you can try tuning with fakesmc guide thats posted on the site or edit the dsdt and search for Geforce 8400 then replace with what you want to see. there both in the same family btw. Administrators Hervé Posted February 14, 2014 Administrators Share Posted February 14, 2014 What you see is just cosmetic. NVS 135M is based on same GPU chip as 8400M. It's a simple character string in the DSDT table and can easily be edited with any DSDT Editor. You can read the article on basic DSDT editing to find out how do do it. gRIMwORLD
Ok the knowledge base widens. I´ll read up on DSDT. What about the slight lag in graphics and unbearable Youtube HD playback? Are you experiancing the same with on your D630 installation?
