Administrators Hervé Posted September 26, 2014 Administrators Share Posted September 26, 2014 Proceed as usual with myHack v3.3.1 + generic bootpack but replace the vanilla Mach kernel by one of Bronya's; they're available in the Precision 670 guide. Moderators Jake Lo Posted September 26, 2014 Moderators Share Posted September 26, 2014 Just download and overwrite the vanilla one on the root of the USB. It's included in Herve's guide linked above. You just have to read through it.
Awan
Hi Jake Lo, I had done that already and not succeeded, i though it has another way to replace the Mach_kernel. After Replacing the mack_kernel with AMD which is deekay_Kernel i could not go further with installation. Pic #1 after replacing mach_kernel with deekay_kernel ( AMD) Pic #2 with mach_Kernel ... I used the same way as guided for e6410 extra and application from e6410 M.rar Please advise ...
Awan
result after replacing the mach_kernel with deekay_Kernel, ( Pic#1) Pic#2 - booting with mach_kernel
Moderators Jake Lo Posted September 27, 2014 Moderators Share Posted September 27, 2014 You need to rename the kernel to mach_kernel or change it in o.c.b.p to read deekay_kernel. Try booting with deekay_kernel -v
Administrators Hervé Posted September 27, 2014 Administrators Share Posted September 27, 2014 If booting with deekay_kernel, you need to add -f flag to boot without cache; by default, OS X builds a kextcache with default "mach_kernel"
Awan
changed the name deekay_Kernel>mach_Kernel ...still can't boot.. I tried the Guide given a link by Herve' "precision 670", (mach_Kernel_RC7) .. renamed it with "mach_Kernel" start boot with -f -v .... result is as in pic .... i think it is Kernel Panic ...
