serotizm
Thank you very much for the reply Herve. I have tried another DDST which was built for E5440, but it also gave another error. I'll try with no DDST with the left USB port. I'll let you know tomorrow. Thanks again.
serotizm
I have generated DSDT with my Ubuntu OS. When I add USBBusFix=Yes kernel parameter, I don't get "still waiting for root device" error. But now I have "SuperIODevice: [Fatal] found unsupported chip! ITE sequence ID=0x1200, Winbond sequence ID=0xfff" I've attached screenshot and my DSDT and SSDT E5440.zip
Administrators Hervé Posted November 3, 2014 Administrators Share Posted November 3, 2014 Well, you kind of omitted the on-board discrete GPU in your description; you just stated to have an Intel HD4400, but that does not seem to be the sole case, does it? Instead you seem to have an E5540 with the additional nVidia GeForce N14M GE, i.e. Optimus.
serotizm
I've figured out I'm using SSDT from 5540. I'm trying to generate SSDT for my own E5440, but on Ubuntu, it generates 10 SSDT files, not 1. When I open SSDT1, I get 14 errors which I couldn't be able to fix... Administrators Hervé Posted November 3, 2014 Administrators Share Posted November 3, 2014 If you're trying to generate your own SSDT for the CPU power management, it's not the right process. Use the SSDT generator script and ignore those tables from BIOS.
serotizm
To be honest, I don't know what I do I've tried SSDT generator from my Mavericks installed in virtualbox with Niresh. But still no luck. I couldn't find a working way to generate DDST and SSDT for my E5440
serotizm
This is the command I'm using. Isn't it correct? ./ssdtPRGen.sh -c 2 -d 2 -p i5-4310U -m MacPro6,
Administrators Hervé Posted November 3, 2014 Administrators Share Posted November 3, 2014 Probably is, yes; I don't know all the parameters by heart. But that's the tool to generate the SSDT. Now select DropSSDT and do not select P&C states in your Chameleon boot plist of Clover config file. You'll then obtain Turbo boost of your CPU. Use MacPro11,1 profile to get extra intermediary speedster CPU multiplier.
serotizm
I have recreated USB with unifail. I did not put DDST or SSDT files. I have added GenericUSBXHCI.kext and VoodooPS2Controller.kext. I don't get errors with kernel parameters: dart=0 PCIRootUID=1 GraphicsEnabler=No maxmem=4096 -f -v But installer stops after: DSMOS has arrived ... AppleIntelLpssI2C: probe fails Screenshot attached. Any ideas?
Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 4, 2014 Moderators Share Posted November 4, 2014 Your graphics card is not loading. Try this dart=0 PCIRootUID=1 GraphicsEnabler=Yes IntelAzulFB=12 -f -v or if you have discrete Ati Graphics or Nvidia graphics dart=0 PCIRootUID=1 SkipAtiGfx=Yes SkipNvidiaGfx=Yes GraphicsEnabler=Yes IntelAzulFB=12 -f -v
