Administrators Hervé Posted September 21, 2015 Administrators Share Posted September 21, 2015 AICPUPM = AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement kext NullCPUPM = NullCPUPowerManagement kext Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge-based laptops require a patched AICPUPM kext to avoid KP at startup. Failing that, the NullCPUPM kext can be used until the patched kext is installed. Patched versions of the Yosemite AICPUPM kext are available here. You can remove the DropSSDT=Yes until you generate your own CPU-specific table.
retrospock
Thanks, that's great! Do I need to do anything specific with the AICPUPM a part from dropping it into Extensions?

retrospock
Okay I've managed to pass the KP, I now have 'binary is improperly signed' Things I've tried: nv_disable=1 kext-dev-mode=1 removing NullCPUPM.kext Nothing works. It's on a loop like this video; (not my video, just the same problem) https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=30&v=RLzwQMK_jEg
retrospock
Okay, I managed to fix the KP, fixed the loop, managed to install OSX, attempted to boot up from HDD and I was prompted with "Can't find /System/Library/Kernel/kernel". Whenever I do manage to bypass that error, I get another KP when booting from HDD (attached). Any ideas? Thanks so far!
Moderators Jake Lo Posted September 22, 2015 Moderators Share Posted September 22, 2015 Add NullCPUPowermanagement.kext to /Extra/Extensions or install the patched AICPUPM from Hervé's link to /System/Library/Extensions
retrospock
Thanks Jake. I have AICPUPM in /S/L/E which I added using kextwizard, and NullCPUPowerManagement.kext was already in the Extras/Extensions directory. I still get this KP.
