Grab some EFI folder upload, and copy all the files into your EFI partition into proper locations. Right now I don't have access to my laptop, to extract and upload it.

better bet is to use your install usb key to copy the files from.

You have Clover DSDT fixes enabled, either disable them or try the Config from the EDP bootpack.

Finally got some time to look into the DSDT issue, I had replaced the config.plist with the one similar to EDP bootpack and used the DSDT from the bootpack itself. Laptop booted fine without much issue after I removed the npci and PCIRootUID flags from the bootargs.

after applying some more patches for the brightness toggles, and sleep fixes, things are better working now.

Following are the list of items not working:

1. Bluetooth : Atheros 61xx chipset (0xE300 0x0CF3) might not work at all, as its not supported. It worked randomly some time earlier (couple of times to be exact), but not working now.

2. Lid changes : laptop does not go to sleep immediately after I close the lid. (this is working fine with DSDT in the EDP bootpack)

3. Built-in ethernet port is detected (Realtek 8111) but I don't get an IP address when I connect the cable, it always gets the self-assigned IP address, even though it detects that cable plugged in.

4. Sleep :  even though it works, USB ports are not working, need some more time to experiment on this.

5. Shutdown / Restart: does not power down or restart automatically, I have to long press the power button to power off and then power on.

Anyhow, Thanks much Jake for the help. Hope I would be solving the remaining issues as well soon. If anyone has any pointers to solve the above issues, please let me know.

Hi everyone!

Did anyone manage to get network on the Z51-70? I can't have neither wired, nor wifi (I bought a Netgear WNA1000M).

I tried several kexts, from here for the wifi : http://www.hackintoshosx.com/files/file/4587-all-in-one-kext-for-realtek-wireless-usb-adapters-el-capitan-ready/
And from here for the Ethernet wired connection :
- https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Realtek-Network/ https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-realtek-network/downloads
- https://github.com/Mieze/RTL8111_driver_for_OS_X
I also tried the one from EDP.

No success anytime!
I still have a wired connection that detects a cable, but can't get an address from DHCP, and doesn't work with proper manual parameters.
The Wifi doesn't even show any piece of life, and the Wifi utility provided with the driver stays stuck at launch.

I tried kexts in several places, kexts folders in EFI partition, Extra folder, /S/L/E, and /L/E. I disabled SIP (http://clover-wiki.zetam.org/Configuration/RtVariables#rtvariables_csractiveconfig), rebuilded kext caches hundreds of time, with no success.

Did anyone encounter any success with network connection, either wired or Wireless?

Free to discuss with all the other Z51-70 owners!

Thanks in advance!

For wireless I am using Buffalo (WLI-UC-GNM) usb wifi adapter, which is ralink 2870 chipset. Using with Bearextender latest driver and its working without much issue.

Thanks folks for your answers!

As I said, I am using (or trying to use) an external USB Wifi adapter, Netgear WNA1000M, which is in the list of supported products of this driver http://www.hackintoshosx.com/files/file/4587-all-in-one-kext-for-realtek-wireless-usb-adapters-el-capitan-ready/, with no luck.

I will try to find the adapter you're talking about from here, in France.

Does anyone have any idea for the wired connection? I'm really stuck with this!

Thanks in advance,

Vincent
