vanquybn
Hi all, I am trying to patch AppleHDA on my Dell laptop with OSX 10.10.5, but I always get fail. Could you please help me. Thanks! codec_dump.txt.zip
Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 12, 2015 Moderators Share Posted November 12, 2015 Try the file from my E7440 bootpack. Same codec ALC292. Patching on-the-fly is in the config file.

howoarang
Hi, I use files from E7440 bootpack, but sound on my m4800 still does not work. Also patch my DSDT.aml with Layout 1. So could you help?
Moderators Jake Lo Posted January 8, 2016 Moderators Share Posted January 8, 2016 Did you add the audio patches to your Config.plist file?
howoarang
You're right, I added audio patches to my Config.plist but only for AppleHDA_ALC292 and forget for patch AppleHDA. Now it works, THANKS! Update #1: Internal Speaker, and also headphone jack works, but if I connect TV via Display Port or HDMI, sound doesn't work any more. I must reboot. So HDMI audio output doesn't work. Moderators Jake Lo Posted January 9, 2016 Moderators Share Posted January 9, 2016 Did you patch DSDT renaming B0D3 to HDAU and adding Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized) // _DSM: Device-Specific Method { Store (Package (0x02) { "hda-gfx", Buffer (0x0A) { "onboard-2" } }, Local0) DTGP (Arg0, Arg1, Arg2, Arg3, RefOf (Local0)) Return (Local0) }
howoarang
In my DSDT is this method with hda-gfx. But if I use patch to rename B0D3 to HDAU, there will be too many errors and MacIASL get error compiling.
