ahalol
I just installed EL Capitan on my E6230 and encountered instant wake up issue. My configuration is 3540m, wifi card is bcm 94352 and is working with kext found on hackintosh Vietnam. all others can be found in this thread: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/8506-dell-latitude-inspiron-el-capitan-clover-guide/&do=findComment&comment=54621 The wake reason is LID0 EHC2, which is lid opened. however, that's not the case. Can someone help me?
ahalol
problem found. It's the camera. after i disable it from the bios, sleep is good. But when I wake up, the camera is automatically re-enabled. Is there any solution to this?
Administrators Hervé Posted January 27, 2016 Administrators Share Posted January 27, 2016 Sounds like you need a DSDT patch for USB devices (EHCx)... Post your DSDT.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted January 27, 2016 Moderators Share Posted January 27, 2016 ahalol PM'd me that it's resolved with 'Simple apply the USB3_PRW 0x0D by RehanMan to DSDT will fix this issue.' what this does is remove _PRW methods to prevent instant wake
scram69
Jake, It sounds like this is the same issue I posted in the pinned E6230 thread. Can you provide a little more detail on the fix? Do I need to manually patch the DSDT contained in E6230.zip in your guide? (Note - the strange thing is my E6230 will sleep properly on battery power - the instant wake is only when it's plugged in) Thanks-
Moderators Jake Lo Posted January 28, 2016 Moderators Share Posted January 28, 2016 See if this works for you too. I have not test it personally. DSDT.aml.zip
scram69
Yep. That fixed it. Thanks very much Jake! Is this issue something specific to the E6230, or will I need a similar fix when I upgrade my E6430 to El Capitan?
Moderators Jake Lo Posted January 30, 2016 Moderators Share Posted January 30, 2016 Most likely need the same fix.
scram69
Actually, my E6430 is the 1366 x 768 display. Can I use this DSDT for it as well? I noticed you don't have an E6430 1366 x 768 DSDT on your El Capitan guide.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted January 31, 2016 Moderators Share Posted January 31, 2016 The DSDT from your E6230 will work on your E6430 with the same specs.
