rcboosted
Ah I see. I don't have iPhones or iPads, so I won't be using those features. I did notice that the built-in SD Card reader isn't working. Any idea how to get that going?
Administrators Hervé Posted February 1, 2016 Administrators Share Posted February 1, 2016 That'll depend on the model... Which is it? What are its PCI ids? If a PCI device, you can look it up with DCPIManager app, if it's a USB device, you should see in in SysProfiler. Or extract an IOReg with IORegistryExplorer app and post it. Administrators Hervé Posted February 1, 2016 Administrators Share Posted February 1, 2016 It'll work OOB with a little DSDT patch as explained here. You just need to identify the DSDT device your card reader is attached to in IOReg.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted February 1, 2016 Moderators Share Posted February 1, 2016 Oh good, it is supported, just need to patch the DSDT. Run this and export the IOReg as Hervé mentioned. Compress and upload it here. update: Hmm, according to the 3340 DSDT, it's already patched to RP05? Check your BIOS to see if it's enabled. rcboosted
I hope i did this right. I went to File -> Save a copy as. Then zipped the resulting file. MacBook Air.zip
Moderators Jake Lo Posted February 1, 2016 Moderators Share Posted February 1, 2016 Hmm, according to your IOReg, it's on RP02. I wonder how I got it in RP05 before... Replace DSDT with this and reboot DSDT.aml.zip
rcboosted
Thank you Jake! Worked like magic. Question though, what is the difference between /Volume/EFI and /EFI? When I copied the dsdt.aml, I used clover configurator to mount the EFI partition. Then dropped the file in /Volume/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched/
Moderators Jake Lo Posted February 1, 2016 Moderators Share Posted February 1, 2016 Great! /EFI is the hidden partition which is usually the name of the Volume when you mount it. I think you enter the path wrong, but seems like it's working. /EFI/EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched/
rcboosted
I always thought I'm supposed to use the one mounted by clover configurator, which shows up in finder and it's /Volumes/EFI. If I just go /EFI, there's no 2nd EFI in the path. $ ls /EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched/ ssdt.aml $ ls /Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched/ DSDT.aml ssdt.aml so you see the one I see mounted in Finder is the 2nd one with /Volumes/EFI/EFI etc
