valuxin
Hi everyone! Does anyone managed to get OS X El Capitan running on Precision M6800?
Moderators Jake Lo Posted February 13, 2016 Moderators Share Posted February 13, 2016 Please specify the system's full specs. Are you looking for a Chameleon or Clover guide? I have a Yosemite Chameleon guide but can easily be updated to El Capitan. Just need to use the Enoch branch of Chameleon and disable SIP. Just use our search engine. You'll a bunch of El Capitan with Chameleon guide, just replace the bootpack with M6800.

I've managed to install it with Clover, but many thing doesn't work. Also, tried to install kexts from Yosemite Guide - system do not start after this manipulations. Clover or Chameleon - I just want to see working build:) So, if you could help me I will be very appreciative.

Administrators Hervé Posted February 14, 2016 Administrators Share Posted February 14, 2016 M6800 shares the same specifications as M4800, except GPUs and screen size (Quadro K3100M/K4100M/5100M vs. Quadro K1100M/2100M, 17.3" LCD vs. 15.6" LCD). The rest is totally identical (add-on & optional hardware accessories excluded of course)).
valuxin
Upload your working Clover folder, I'll add or fix it for you. OS X El Capitan 10.11.3 Thank you! M6800 shares the same specifications as M4800, except GPUs and screen size (Quadro K3100M/K4100M/5100M vs. Quadro K1100M/2100M, 17.3" LCD vs. 15.6" LCD). The rest if totally identical. If there is a working guide - it would be much easier, but I can't find it... P.S. Used the DSTD from Yosemite Guide. UPD: Attached DSDT from my M6800 (A16) CLOVER.zip DSDT.tar.gz

valuxin
Make sure to disable SIP and apply the kernelPm Enoch boot option... Thanks, I'll try this later, after Clover + El Capitan final result:) So... I've played with config.plist and got semi-working Sleep. By this, I mean that getting into Sleep is only working without AC attached. When laptop finally in Sleep mode, I can attach AC. Getting out of Sleep only works properly with attached AC - otherwise, I'll get black screen. But still, what is not working for now: WebCam (USB\VID_0C45&PID_64D0&REV_3606) Screen brightness regulation Touchpad on/of switch Power button Display lid WWAN (Dell Wireless 5570 HSPA+ VID 413C/PID 81A3) Fingerprint (Broadcom USB\VID_0A5C&PID_5801&REV_0101) CLOVER.zip
