DustyWater
Yes I did. I have managed to get someone to download a copy of el capitan for me. I have made the usb but when I boot it I get a completely garbled screen.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted February 29, 2016 Moderators Share Posted February 29, 2016 do you have optimus enabled or disabled? since you're using the NVS DSDT, you should have optimus disabled. Try also using MBA6,2 Smbios
DustyWater
I turned off optimum and got stuck on "waiting for dsmos..." and I am using whatever smbios that was in the bootpack on your thread.
DustyWater
I can't change the smbios because the efi partition appears empty on my imac
Moderators Jake Lo Posted March 1, 2016 Moderators Share Posted March 1, 2016 You want to load the EFI partition of your Hackintosh, not your iMac. Becareful to not modding the wrong system and brick your iMac.
DustyWater
I am trying to boot from the USB. What I am saying is that when I want to try and edit the usb stick's efi partition so that I can change the smbios but it shows up blank on my imac when I try to edit it. Moderators Jake Lo Posted March 1, 2016 Moderators Share Posted March 1, 2016 It might not be loading FakeSMC. Mount the EFI partition and check to see if it's in /Clover/Kexts/10.11 or Other
DustyWater
I can't seem to mount the efi partition for editing it. Should I reinstall it without installing it in the ESP?
Moderators Jake Lo Posted March 1, 2016 Moderators Share Posted March 1, 2016 Are you using Clover Configurator or EFI-Mounter to mount the partition? or other utility?
