welp
Ok, here is my dsdt already fixed, working on my dell d830 nvidia. I made the above corrections with DSDTSE editor. How do I make this change? Do I have to have a mac?

Administrators Syonagar Posted August 4, 2012 Administrators Share Posted August 4, 2012 Dear Danelli, You can change the dsdt.aml by replacing the old one in your /Extra with the new one you want to try out. Just use Finder. As for patching dsdt.aml, this is quite an advance topic even for seasonal hackintoshers. You can search the internet if you are interested to know more. Cheers! frank_d
Just a heads-up - I downloaded the Mountain Lion boot pack today for the D830 with NVidia graphics and it gave me the black screen problem irregardless of boot flags. I changed the DSDT.aml file to the one at the top of this thread and Voila! - I got an installer screen. We will see how it goes the rest of the way. Lion was ok with the boot pack available today as long as you give it PCIRootUID=1 boot flag.
