Administrators Hervé Posted October 6, 2016 Administrators Share Posted October 6, 2016 USB issues is a well-know problems since El Capitan. Problems are usually solved by: 1) renaming EHCx devices to EH0x in DSDT 2) using a USB injector kext (own made -not difficult- or USBInjectAll kext) If you can post your existing DSDT, we can try to work this out. vashwood
Thanks. Attached is the DSDT that I'm using And I have the following kext already in my USB installer /EFI/CLOVER/Kexts/Other/USBInjectAll.kext DSDT.aml.zip
vashwood
Thought I'd report back. After posting the my DSDT earlier, I ended up using the attached config.plist and everything booted to the installer! I'll continue w/ the El Capitan install after I backup my current Yosemite setup. Best program to use to backup is Carbon Copy Cloner onto a USB stick right? config.plist.zip

jeopardise
I managed to install El Capitan with E5520. I saw your spec mentioning that you're using 2x8GB DDR3 RAM ... looks like it supports 8GB module. Gonna try
