USB issues is a well-know problems since El Capitan.

Problems are usually solved by:

1) renaming EHCx devices to EH0x in DSDT

2) using a USB injector kext (own made -not difficult- or USBInjectAll kext)

If you can post your existing DSDT, we can try to work this out.

Thought I'd report back. After posting the my DSDT earlier, I ended up using the attached config.plist and everything booted to the installer!

I'll continue w/ the El Capitan install after I backup my current Yosemite setup. Best program to use to backup is Carbon Copy Cloner onto a USB stick right?

I'm a proud owner of a Dell Latitude E5520

I'm trying to install OSX El Capitan and followed all the steps i found on this forum

Here the specs of my computer:

Intel Core i5-2520M (2.50GHz ,3MB cache ,Dual Core)
Display : 39.6cm (15.6in) UltraSharp FHD (1920X1080) Wide View AntiGlare LED-backlit
Memory : 16GB (2x8GB) 1333MHz DDR3 Dual Channel
SSD Samsung EVO 840 / 250GB

I used Clover_v2.3k_r3961

Haver there anybody managed to install OSX El Capitan on a Dell Latitude E5520 ?

Thanks !!
